Pours out a clear dark brownish red amber with a thick, but small tan head.
Smell. Fruit aromas stand out. Black cherries and bananas with some cloves. Aroma also has a bit of a creaminess to it as well.
Taste. Dark fruits come out, dark cherries and dried fruits, apricot comes to mind a bit too. Has a nice spice to it, like a holiday spice with the fruit flavors. Aftertaste is warming with the alcohol, but isnt bad. the fruitiness stays and keeps the flavor nice.
Mouthfeel. Body is full and is a bit chewy. Nice balance and a good amount of carbonation.
Overall, a nice beer. I wasnt too big on this brewery despite it being trappist, but i like this one.

A: reddish orange with a huge white head. Nice tight bubbles.
S: figs and caramel. banana and very bready. A little yeast and a punch in the face of overly ripe (rotten) cherries.
T: Sour cherries up front followed by a lingering banana. Lots of caramel and fig. Almost a wine tannin quality up front. Sour plum as well. Reminiscent of raspberry marmalade.
M: This is a thick brew. not much in the way of carbonation.
O: Pretty simple compared to other trappist quads but still delicious and bursting with flavor. Very enjoyable / 88

A: Hazy, with lively carbonation tossing around yeast flakes, beautiful reddish amber in color. single finger cream head trying to be a nitro head.
S: Yellow plum, decaying apricot, slight plastic yeast punch.
T: Sweet fermenting prunes, faint nutty (cashew) aftertaste, alcohol is present but not in a negative way, makes it more like a brandy
M: quite Smooth,
O: I guess it's good for the style, but quads aren't my thing. It actually resembles an intense tripel

A: Pours a hazy auburn color with stood head that fades very slowly with ample lacing.
S: Aroma of dark fruits, some malt, caramel sweetness and spices with a hint of alcohol.
T: Taste of malt, fruity, caramel sweetness and spices. Distant bitterness and a dry finish.
F: Fairly moderate body, smooth with a complex character that is enhanced as it warmer.
O: Good beer for the style. Well worth checking out
