Golden with a smooth mouthfeel. Dry hopped with Cascade. Malt undertones balance this hop bomb before its long, bold and bitter finale.

From a 22 oz bottle into a pilsner glass.
Date on bottle is 5/30/14
To my knowledge this is the first bottling that Bloomington has done. Feel free to check me in this!
A: Gold in color with a good amount of carbonation rising. Thin head and lacing. The head is gone quickly and lacing fades fast as well
S: Faint hops and citrus.
T: Similar to smell. Orange on the toung and bitter on the finish.
M: light and airy. Fades quickly.
O:A bit weak in flavor and texture. I will update this review if I can find a bottle hats a bit more fresh.

This is the sixth in a run-through of beers that came to me CANtesy of @jkblr for inCANsion in The CANQuest (tm). I remain grateful for the hook-ups!
From the CAN: "Rooftop India Pale Ale"; "Dry hopped with Cascade and Falconer's Flight hops".
The label depicts what I imagine to be a Bloomington landmark - the watery remnants of a stone quarry. I know this because it played a role in my late-Pops' favorite movie: "Breaking Away". Pops was an avid bicyclist & we watched that movie together many times. This review shall be in his memory.
I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent as I beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. I was met with two-plus fingers of dense, rocky, tawny head with very good retention, leaving a buncha sticky lacing in its wake as it fell. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Amber to Deep-Amber/Light-Copper (SRM = > 9, < 13). Nose smelled of piney hops and caramel malts. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was strangely more intense than the nose! Usually, I get fooled by aroma hops that leave me disappointed by the taste, but in this case, it was the other way around! The coolness of the pine was joined by an orangey citrusiness, both underlain by a caramel malt base. Mmm. Finish was semi-dry to dry with a pleasant, not overwhelming, bitterness. Pops might have liked this. YMMV.

On draft this is pretty decent, but I would avoid bottles that aren’t really fresh. This review is for the draft. Pours golden straw with two fingers of ample white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Taste is bitter and hoppy citrus and pine with an undertone of malt on the finish. Overall really refreshing and quite nice.

First had Rooftop at BRU Burger Bar, Indianapolis, on draft into Willi Becher, and have had many times since at Lennie’s on Kirkwood, Bloomington, on draft into Willi Becher, or poured from pint can into nonic pint.
Pours light amber-gold, with clarity and 2-finger creamy off-white head, with great retention, leaving big chunks of lace all the way down the glass. Huge aroma of citrus off the pour, turning floral and revealing caramel malt as warms. Begins a little sweet with moderate carbonation, giving way to a wonderfully smooth and creamy body, which carries some stone fruit over mild caramel malt, soon joined by a citrus splash leading into a nicely biting finish.
This is excellent, but be forewarned (or as an APA fan like me encouraged): Rooftop drinks more like a modern American Pale Ale than a big or hazy contemporary American IPA.

Pretty orange-amber color. Off white lace, not very persistent.
Mild smell, nice, clean, apricots.
Taste is very, very good. Mild. Bitter.
Mouthfeel is fantastic, rich, low carbonation. Happy mouth.
Finish is not intense, rather mild actually. Quite bitter on the very last edges of the finish.
