Pours a pale copper with a dense creamy white head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is corn, light fruit, citrus and yeast. Flavor is more hoppy than a typical pale lager, very floral and lemony. Malt is present but only to balance the brew. Medium bodied, dry finish. Not a bad beer.

This beer pours a clear yellow with a thin head and no lace. The aroma is lemony with hints of cake and bread. The flavor is lemons with a pilsner note. It's mouthfeel is light. Buffalo Water Bison Blonde is a decent beer, recommended after mowing the lawn.

Poured from bottle. Cloudy golden color. Nice foamy head.Does not taste like a pale lager. Higher bitterness notes and darker color. Doughy aroma of yeast. Citrus and malty tones.A little light for a craft beer. But not bad for a pale lager. Purchased a Ray's Liquor.

Reviewed from notes.

Appears straw yellow in color with a slight murkiness from a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottle which is fine by me. Head is short-lived but three fingers tall while it does exist, leaving some mild lacing behind. Texture is definitely medium thick and deliciously creamy on this one, I'm impressed! Smells rather bready for a pale lager, with an underbelly of spiced hopping. The sip hits you first with a brief spice hop zing that is gone in a flash, overtaken completely by bready and honeyed malt with a relatively abrupt finish. This one stands out in my memory mostly for its thicker than average mouthfeel, so if a somewhat medium-bodied pale lager appeals to you, than this one is probably worth checking out.

Served at the Brickhouse BBQ in Madison, poured a lacey head, bright, hoppy taste. A full body and color for a lager. Pleasant bitter finish. One of the best craft lagers.

The lager had a czech yeast flavor, producing a very nice tight champagne style carbonation. The malts were well balanced, and obviously lightly roasted. Hops matched well with the malts.

Appearance: Nice blonde/amber color. Good head out of the bottle.
Smell: Malty, with hints of citrus and grass
Taste: Malty, but with a mildly bitter hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Not a typical watery pale lager. Nice richer consistancy. Nice champagne like carbonation.
Overall: Had a bottle at a trade show in Burlington Vermont. They had many beers, and I kept comping back to this one. A ver good brew.

A - Slightly cloudy pale yellow color.

S - Nice mild hop smell.

T - Really good. Slightly bitter at the end. Light, crisp and refreshing.

M - Light, bubbly

D - Great. I could drink the whole 6-pack without blinking.

I had never heard of this beer until i was wandering around my local liquor store, Party Mart in Lake Mills, WI. Decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. Really enjoyed this beer.

Pours a light blonde color with a two-finger head into my glass. Good presentation thus far, if not unremarkable.

Aroma is full of light, crisp pilsner malt with just a hint of graininess/sweetness.

Taste is full of sweet, crisp, grainy malt upfront. Certain has a light macro-lager feel to it without the crappiness of that style. Slightly chewy too!

Mouthfeel's full of lingering sweet, chewy malt. Like it should be. Just not that great.

Not bad. Drinkable. For a new brewery, it's a good way to get started. Hopefully, it leads to better things.

12oz brown glass pry-top bottle. No date.

Appearance: A hazy golden yellow with lots of sudsy bone-white head that leaves lots of lacing. Great retention for a lager.

Nose: Spicy, somewhat earthy, a little wild flower honey aroma, some faint skunk-hops. Pleasant. So far, better than I was expecting.

Palate: A lot richer and fatter than I was expecting. The honey notes continue, and that earthiness, stewed oranges maybe? Medium-bodied and creamy carbonation. The finish starts to bring in some creamed corn notes which sort of ruin it for me.

Notes: You know, this is surprisingly good. Not a hoppy lager, not a watery lager, but bigger and bolder. I'm thinking kolsch-style? Worth a try. A nice gateway beer perhaps, but I don't know who owns this company so I'm not willing to call it a "micro" yet.

I never heard of this brewery until my visit to the local liquor store today...and it's local. Let's give it a shot.

A - Poured from the brown bottle into a clear pint glass. No freshness date on the bottle. An aggressive pour yielded a creamy and fluffy two finger white head topping a hazy yellow/orange body. Good head retention and decent lacing.

S - Some mild citrus hops in the nose, with maybe a bit of light malt.

T & M - The hops are more dominant in the taste than they were in the aroma. Not overwhelming by any means, but very nicely represented. The malt takes a back seat to the hops, yet still provides a nice bit of balance. Medium bodied creamy mouthfeel. Finishes dry with just the slightest hop aftertaste.

D - Color me impressed with the first beer I've tried from this brewery. I think this is a beer that could easily be sessioned on a warm Summer day. The 5% ABV helps the drinkability factor. A tasty brew I will certainly recommend to friends.

mmmm... beer. Straightforward beer. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing really right with it either. Pretty close to the quintesential "beer". That's it and that's that. Poured with a small head that lasted some and a bit of lace. Color is a medium amber. Flavor is medium: some malt and hops; nothing wrong and nothing right. A study in averageness. Drinkable. Ok body and finish.

The Bison Blonde pours a very hazy golden body beneath a short head of slightly off-white foam. The head retention is fair at best, and it drops readily to an average collar. Little lacing is left behind.

Some spicy hops greet you in the nose but there's very little malt.

In the mouth it's medium to medium-light in body, but with a dextrinous edge. A bristling carbonation livens it.

The flavor is oddly kind of muddled. The hops are still there, but they don't shine any brighter than they do in the nose (well, they're a little more floral). And although the grainy malt is far more evident than the nose suggests, it's not particularly clear either. They do meld well together though, with its honey-bread like maltiness threaded through with spicy and floral hop notes, but it would be nice to get a little more clean malt upfront before finding the hops, than to just get them both in one whole lump together. In a sense it's perfectly rounded and balanced, backed by a solid bitterness, but it just lacks excitement - kind of like a half-baked loaf of bread. And perhaps part of that is the flavor of the yeast. It seems to surround the malt and hop flavors, and dampen them. I think a little bit tighter filtration might help to polish it up a bit. But I also think there may be a mash temperature / fermentation issue as it doesn't seem quite thoroughly attenuated.

So, overall, not bad, but neither is it great. And with a lackluster appearance and an "OK" flavor and aroma I think there are much better lagers to be sampled.

12 oz bottle poured into a Pilsner glass. No info or date.

A - A fairly vigorous yet quiet pour revealed a white one-finger head with mediocre retention atop a very lightly chill-hazed pale golden amber that's inactive.

S - A pronounced but mild hop aroma of spices and herbs is accompanied by an underlying semi-sweet pale malt aroma. Light fruit esters give it a good touch. A bit of apricot and white grape.

T - Crisp and spicy hops are front and center followed by a muted pale malt flavor that quickly finishes hoppy and dry.

M - Somewhat creamy and fairly smooth with a nicely carbonated finish. Crisp and refreshing with a light dry finish.

D - While it's a fairly well crafted brew it's main talent lies in drinkability. A perfect session beer, this one could be consumed all night. I enjoy it's nice aroma and flavor profile. I'll have to get a six-er.

Their website claims this beer was created to compliment spicy buffalo wings. I didn't have the chance to try it, but I think it would pair nicely. I'll have to see if I can do it soon.

Rich creamy head. Nice carmelized malts. Good balance of sugur with very dry hop ending. For a pale lager I was very surprised by the character and hoppiness of the brew. One of the best pale lagers made in Wisconsin. This is a fantastic summer beer, although it does have many characteristics of an Octoberfest brew. Would recommend this to anyone.

Purchased from the Market Basket in Brookfield, WI. Pours a light yellow or "blonde" color with a finger of white foam. Sweet malt and citrus aroma. Faint hop flavor and minimal bitterness. Light bodied and crisp, just a little bit of a dry finish. I wish I had some wings to go with this beer for which their website claims the beer was invented. This is not a bad beer, just not that great.

Crystal Clear BLonde body with a viggorus head that quickly dissapates into a light dusting. Crisp and cracker like malt profile with a slight citric hoppyness in the end. This blonde is light and frilly, you get some wheat and a bit of hops. It seems balanced and simple. What you would drink if you didn't want to think about it. Pair with a spring roll or a grilled walleye.

I ordered this beer because I'd never heard of it and they had it on tap at the Transfer Pizzeria on Mitchell in Milwaukee alongside some Lakefront taps. From the name, i was expecting a blonde ale and hopeful to get some nice fruitiness from this beer, and was a bit disappointed by what I got. A blonde lager, offering not much flavor other than some tinges of metallic. Not bad, but flavor-wise reminded me a bit of a Kolsch. OK, but not really recommendable nor worthy of any serious searching.

Appearance was a slightly hazy blond. Aroma was non-existent. Flavor was faintly (if I used my imagination) malty, but offered more metallicness than anything else. Mouthfeel was pretty thin.
