Hazy copper/orange body. Very off-white, heading for beige baseball size head.
Mix of fruit in the nose, grapefruit, orange, lemon, inviting but not the aggressor expected.
Thick slather of sweet caramel lays the base. Lots of juicy fruit. Bitter bite well down in the mix. Long lingering aftertaste.
Medium plus mouthfeel, sturdy, sticky, filling.
A very enjoyable IIPA I'll be glad to revisit.

What the heck is a Quad IPA anyway? Let's just call this a DIPA for purposes of comparison.
Appearance is a bright copper color with a thin layer of head that dissipated very quickly. The essence of grapefruits and hops dominate the nose. The flavor is both fruity and malty with hints of orange, mango and apricot.
As far as hoppiness, I don't think that it quite ranks with the best DIPAs out there. Still there is something quite enjoyable about this offering even if it does not rise to the level of "hop bomb."
What we have here is a tasty and complex big beer that does not get overwhelmed by the alcohol. That is a rarity and makes this a pretty special tasting experience.

Pours a deep amber, almost red color with a very nice foamy white head that disappears quickly.
The scent is dominant of citrus hops. Grapefruit, lemon, some notes of orange are also noticeable.
The taste is similar to the scent, lots of citrus. Very bitter citrus hops, grapefruit, lemon, and oranges.
Full body, sort of a dry sticky feel, moderate carbonation.
This was a pretty tasty beer, surprisingly balanced with such a high abv.

Served on tap at Al's of Hampden in Enola, PA
A: Pours a murky dark golden yellow in color with some hints of brown and orange highlights along with light amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall off-white head that very slowly reduces to a thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a couple of small slightly thicker patches and a thick ring at the edges of the glass (showing very good head retention). Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus hops - I can detect grapefruit, orange, tangerine, and lemon in that order of strength/intensity. Very slight hints of some tropical/pineapple hops and some bitterness in the aroma.
T: Upfront there is a moderate to strong amount of caramel malt sweetness to help balance out the huge amount of hop flavors in this beer. There are flavors of citrus hops including grapefruit, orange, tangerine, and lemon. Additionally there are some tropical/pineapple hop flavors and just a hint of bitterness in the finish.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly sticky with some moderate dryness in the finish.
O: Easier to drink than I expected with it being a 4x IPA and the rather high ABV but the alcohol is extremely well hidden and the beer has a very good balance to it. Nice complexity to the flavor makes this one real enjoyable. Definitely one to try again.

A- murky as a quad ipa should be. slight orange/red hue comes through the glass. slight dense white head.
S- citrus hops aroma. grapefruit and lemon peel up front. slight hint of alcohol. caramel also comes through.
T- for being 13% plus this is a very well balanced beer. the hops are upfront in center with a nice citrus tone, then you get the piney hops right behind them. all followed by a slight alcohol burn that lets you know not to down this beer even though you want to.
M- thick and sticky just like a heavy hop bomp should be.
O- Great brew by a local brewery. I will definately have this one again and again and again.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden multiple times.
A - Pours hazy light orange with a decent one finger tall white head leaving light streaks of lace down the glass.
S - Smells of pungent citric hops, sweet apricots, grapefruits and a bit of sweet caramel malt. With all that fruit it is pretty sweet smelling but not really overpowering. The booze creeps in as it sits in the glass.
T - Starts off with a big dose of citric hop bitterness quickly giving way to a mix of tropical fruits, sweet caramel malt and lots of apricot sweetness. The balance of flavors is surprisingly well done. As it warms more and more booze comes through, threatening to overpower everything else. Finish is bitter with a good amount of alcohol burn, lingering on the pallet for some time.
M - Clean body and intense flavor with moderate carbonation. The bold flavors are balanced well, which is a little shocking all things considered. The strong booze at the end of the glass is a little too strong.
O - I think this one is my new favorite beer from Pizza Boy. The flavors are bold and they work very well together. IF the booze could be toned down a tiny bit, to say around 10-11% I think this one would be even better.

App- A very glowing orange with only a small 1/2 finger of head. Very juice like in terms of hazy and clairty. Only a couple dots of cling.
Smell- Wow was this vibrant! Grapefruits, tropical fruit notes mixed with hops and a slight nose of bitter.
Taste- This was a good hoppy beer. Was very lush and rich in terms of tropical fruit notes and then moved into a bit of a small bitter note. For the size of this beer you didnt feel it at all.
Mouth- A nice medium body with a good bubbly medium carbonation. A very fruit residual note with hops.
Drink- A very well layered and high ABV beer. This had a huge tropical flavor and I loved it. It was very lush and not overly bitter. Great beer.
