Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden.

A - Pours murky pinkish purple with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving small spots of lace on the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of tart blueberries, woody oak, lactic sourness, light musty funk and some bready malt. Smells just like the base but with the addition of the wood aging.

T - Starts off with the tart blueberries quickly giving way to hints of light basement must, touch of funk, oak and plenty of drying tannins. Finish is tart and quite dry, lingering long after the finish. The base is dry and this is no exception.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Tart, dry feel from start to finish limits how much you could consume.

O - Considering this is Royal Tannin Bomb aged in wine barrels I think it came out exactly how I thought it would. It still has all of the tart flavor of Tannin Bomb but with even more dryness thanks to the added wine barrel vinous character. It is a good beer for a great cause, cheers to everyone involved in this one.

Big thanks to Fletcher aka Hoppykillamonsta for this growler.

Pour is a nice light purple with a quarter inch of head. Split this three ways on Super Bowl and it was the highlight of a terrible game and other good brews.

Nice sour and mild tart. Really reminded me of the Side Project Blueberry Flanders I had at FOBAB. Just an incredibly delightful beer. Along with VSB this is one of the best sours I've had in a long while.

Served in a pizza boy snifter, poured from a 32oz growler

a very attractive purple/blue with a nice head after an aggressive pour. Picking up much if the wine barrels on the aroma, with a nice dose of the fruit. The taste is more tart than sour, but very drinkable. Medium carbonation and the wine really shows it's character as it warms. Glad I picked up a couple growlers on this but I'm not sure if they'll survive the next couple days.
