Poured into a Saint Somewhere wine-style glass. Back label says 30/08/16 so it's best to be enjoyed by August 30th 2016. Love the clamp-top that can be applied after opening to guarantee freshness.

A- Pours a light straw color with a full inch of head that retains well before condensing to a 1/4 inch head leaving Nice fluffy lacing behind.

S- Very light and fruity with a crisp flow of Belgian yeast that brings about banana notes.

T- Large onset of Belgian yeast and light fruit that recoils into a glassy aftertaste. Some soapiness and a very mild astringency. There are pictures of hops on the label, but not much can be detected in the flavor at all, which is fine. The flavor profile goes along the lines of a no-nonsense light Belgian with just a very straightforward yeast crispness and fruitiness. And speaking of light, I completely forgot I'm drinking a 7.7% ABV beer. I feel like I'm having a 5% quaffer! Now that's remarkable.

M- Snappy and, once again, crisp with medium-high carbonation.

O- This is a wonderful beer. Why hadn't I heard of these guys sooner? Now I want to try everything they offer

A: Golden colored, slightly hazy, with a very nice white fluffy head. Pretty good lacing. Lots of carbonation visible.

S: Not a whole lot to smell. There are faint whiffs of spice, some toast, and some alcohol. Pretty below-average for a Tripel though.

T: Not much going on in the flavor department either. There are very light flower-like alcohol flavors, and nothing else.

M: The mouthfeel is very nice. It is smooth and bubbly, with just enough carbonation to leave a light tinge after the dryness hits the mouth. It is very light bodied.

O: Overall the beer tasted very plain. There wasn't much spice or character to it. I can't say that it was one-dimensional, because it was barely even that. Despite the lack of flavor and aroma, the beer looked and felt very nice. I probably wouldn't buy it again.

16 ounce bottle into chalice, best before 4/9/2014. Pours hazy and cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, bread, candi sugar, honey, clove, earth, pepper, herbal, and yeast spiciness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of apple, pear, grape, apricot, bread, pepper, clove, earth, honey, candi sugar, herbal, and yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, bread, pepper, clove, honey, candi sugar, earth, and yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor balance and complexity; with a nice malt/spiciness balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly slick and crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian tripel style. Very nice complexity and balance of flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

[Suggested Glassware: Trappist Glass]

The pour was a clear light golden yellow with an average (1-2 finger) white creamy head that had great retention and superb sheets of lacing.

The aroma was of a light grain malt and a musty sweet Belgian yeast with notes of banana, green apple, citrus (lemon), bubblegum and coriander.

The taste was malty and lightly sweet with a touch of apple and a hint of banana early on, with a nice fruity ester creeping in along with a bold yeasty presence and just a bit of spice at the end. The flavor lasted only a short time proceeding the swallow with the fruity yeast taste lingering for a little while, before fading away entirely.

Mouthfeel was light in body with a watery yet mildly dry texture and a strong lively carbonation.

Overall a light flavorful Abbey Ale with a great drinkability, which could be dangerous considering the somewhat higher ABV...
