This store has a very wide selection for being in a smaller town. Lots of Three Floyds, Bell's, Founders, Stone. They had Founders KBS when it first released this year. There are hundreds of beers and barley wines on the shelves. They keep a want list for me and work all of the time to get what is on that list. Very nice people. Gordon loves stouts and DIPA, same as me, so he gives great recommendations. Prices rival the big stores in Chicago, and I don't need to drive for an hour. I highly recommend you give them your business if you find yourself in Michigan City.

This place has a good selection, but seasonals come in very late. It's quite difficult to get in there at the right time for the seasonals that are in short supply. The old lady that works there has given me misinformation about the arrival of beers several times. She's always in a bad mood and acts like she doesn't want to be there. I think she might be a witch! The owners are from India and they don't know anything about craft beer except that it sells. One of them has told me twice that he would order something for me. I never heard about it again. Gordon is the only employee that cares about beer and is willing to discuss it. However, since he is also the only person that seems to do any work there, he is usually unavailable to have much of a conversation. You will also need to wade through the crowd of losers that are there to buy bmc. I'm not saying that they are losers because they drink bmc. I'm saying that they are losers and they happen to drink bmc. You would be much better off going to Pat's Liquor Store.

This place is about 15 minutes from my house and I've been there a few times. I took a little trip over there today to drop off a package at FedEx and stopped and they seem to have gotten some more stuff since the last time I've been there. They have lots of stuff from Bell's, FFF, Founders, and other midwestern breweries. They even had some Great Lakes stuff, which never happens in IN. It was old stock, with the Oktoberfest being a couple weeks past date and the Nosferatu had about a month left in it. Good amount of German and English stuff, more than most stores around here. I wouldn't call the service good exactly, I once asked a lady working there a question about the beer and she just replied "I don't know about beer" or something equivalent. However, I did talk to the owner once before and he told me that he could order anything for me if he could get it. Haven't seen him there lately though. Prices are much better than the Liquor Stop and about the same as Pat's. Worth a stop.
Worth an update: I was in there yesterday and asked if they were going to get a particular beer. The owner asked to take down my number so he could give me a call when it comes in. Sure enough I got a call already today and they are holding a sixer for me. Nice service indeed.
