This is my local beer store so I am a little biased in my opinion. However, read the previous posts as they are accurate representation. Harry and Erika have truly made this a must see when traveling the eastern coast of NC.
Most impressive is that here in nowhere North Carolina (3-4 hr drive from the "mecca" that is Asheville) you can hang out with great people and drink excellent beer from every style and from all over the world. Local regulars gather for Friday $2 draft nights, scheduled events, or just random evenings after work to enjoy some great beer.
The atmosphere is certainly quaint and inviting. Every room is different. It's literaly a small house (bathroom and all) and each room is dedicated to certain beer styles.
Aside from beer this store offers local foods and flavors as well as coffee, teas, and even a small selection of cigars.
New additions this year include a small bar in the back room. They have upgraded the outdoor area behind the Haus for more seating and have hosted several events complete with live music, food, and special drafts.
Most impressive is the new 4 tap stainless steel set-up right there at the front register. They are constantly rotating the brews and some recent memories include great ones:
North Coast Old Rasputin
Unibroue Le Terrible
Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Chocolate Stout
Rogue Dead Guy Ale
Brooklyn Chocolate Stout
Service is second to none. They know their store and they know their customers. When I walk in Lena or Erika will point out the latest brews in the lineup, not to mention the email updates when new beers arrive.
Selection is very good. They have an appreciation for German and Belgian brews that have their own room in the Haus. Being a local store they do a great job featuring local NC breweries to include Mother Earth, Highland, Duck Rabbit, and others. Based on the available distributors, Harrika's does a great job getting in as many hard to get beers as possible.
Food is very unique and ecclectic. From truffles to popcorn to steak/rib rubs there are plenty of new offerings.
Pricing is very reasonable and worth every penny in support of this local store advocating good, craft beer.

Just moved away from NC and I miss this place already. It was a bit out of the way for me, but still the best place to pick up craft beer in the area. First off, the place just looks cool, an old blue/green house on the side of the road, when you walk in the floors creak and the bells on the door ring and 9 times out of 10 there is an employee (or owner) there to welcome you and say hello. Once inside, they have a excellent selection of great beers, on a scale of 1-10, i would give them a 10 on selection, taking into account thier location in nowhersville North Carolina (if they were in San Diego, they might only get a 7 or 8). As stated previously, the staff knows there store! always willing to make a suggestion, you can have a sample of all thier taps (4 I beleive, and in the times i visited never the same thing twice) or have a pint while you look around. They do events on the weekends, and I have heard they are great, looks like fun although I never made it out at night. Great Place!!!

Cool converted ranch house with all styles of beer tucked into various corners and shelves. It took some extra trips to find things I overlooked on my first pass, but had I asked, the guy working would have pointed me to it, he knew the shop. Prices by the single always make me justify my $3/bottle purchase. Bombers were in line with prices around Raleigh, singles were a little higher, but I was focused on the limited release seasonals (Backwoods Bastard, regular Breakfast Stout). Four beers on tap- Dogfish San Marron, Duck Rabbit Seasonal, Stone, and... Forgot.
Well worth a stop if you're in the area.

Great atmosphere, Great selection. The prices on some of the singles are a bit higher than other local places, but this is a true mom and pop place and worth paying the extra to support the local economy. The Brew Haus is a house converted into a business with each room separated by beer styles and regions. A selection of local hand made gifts and bar ware is also for sale. Their rare beer nights happen once a month and are quite worth attending. Sipping excellent beer while shopping for the same puts one in an excellent mood. They are quick to help you find something and make suggestions as appropriate. With a quaint bar inside and a nice patio set up outside (Now with Corn hole!) The Haus invites you to stay as long as you want, though being a family run business they are not open late. Taps are rotated regularly and they offer an excellent selection of Kegs to order.

After a long day on the beach playing bocce and downing coronas, everyone decided to go out for dinner, but not before stopping by the "cool local beer store". Being down east in such a small town with what appeared to be little to no interest in craft brewed beer, I wasn't expecting very much. When I walked through the door, Erica greeted us and turned my attention to the treasure chest of brews she had in stock. WOW, such a cute little store, with a far superior beer selection than any bar or restaurant in the area. Sign-in the visitor log and receive friendly reminder emails on up-coming events, tastings, and special offerings. 911 has a rotating stock with special purchases made available, ie. Arrogant Bastard pre-order.
If you find yourself down around the Emerald Isle/Atlantic Beach area, you should do your palate a favor and stop by 911 Restoration.
