Had this on tap on 5-26-09

Pours a 1/2 finger pinkish white head. Very thin head. Leaves some lace rings. Color is a clear purple raspberry.

Aroma: Reminds me a lot of leine's berryweise. Heavy on the blueberries. Very sweet smelling. Also, simple, plain malts.

Taste: Very berry-like. Sweet hops. Tart flavor. Cherries. A lot better then the leines.

Mouthfeel is very crisp. Well carbonated. Very tarty and sugary sweet. Light to medium bodied. Leaves a fruity dry aftertaste.

Overall, this beer is going down a lot slower than I expected. It is a very sweet beer. My girlfriend really seemed to enjoy it though. I won't have this one again.

The server said that this beer was the Northern Light Lager brewed with blueberry liquoir and blueberries. Thus giving it a higher abv...in the 6's. The beer poured a clear yellow with white head. No lacing was left in the glass. The aroma was a little dissapointing, very sublte blueberry. The taste was decent. not overpowering blueberry, but definitely was sweet. Failry smooth. The mouthfeel brought a light body, great for summer. Overall it wasnt too bad. Maybe a bit to sweet fro me.

Had last night at Granite City. Review from phone notes.

A- Poured a light copper color. One finger light brown head with medium retention to it. Ringing lacing as I drank it down.

S- First off there is no blueberry aroma to this at all. Kind of strange...since it is a blueberry ale. Light wheat notes which is the only actual beer aroma I pick up. Tons of oxidation to the aroma. Strong metal aroma the dies for a second to let the wheat shine (or lack there of) before coming back.

T- Big kick of metal with the front of the beer. This dies away and lets the wheat come through once again like in the aroma. Where is the blueberry though? Oh there it is..hiding in the background and only coming out in short hints. Big metallic taste comes back and washes away all beer like tastes.

M- Light medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style I guess. Metal metal metal everywhere from the palate to the aftertaste. Nothing clean or crisp or hell even any sign of a balanced beer with this one.

D- I did manage to drink all of this beer. A beer that from other reviews from the other stores looked like it might be something "good" from them. Looks like they reworked the formula and ended up with this shit instead. Way to take my money once again Granite City!

Drank this while waiting for the little lady to finish working. This will be my first brew ever from Granite City. Drank from a generic pint glass.

Appearance- Pours a super pinkish purple with a nice big frothy light pink head. Kind of an embarrassing looking beer to drink alone lol. Great cap and collar and loads of sticky ring like lacing.
Smell- Slightly malty and sweet smelling with a lightly musty odor. More bready than anything as it has that sweet smell but not really a caramel or toffee scent. Pretty much zero fruit.
Taste- Well not terrible but I'd guess blueberry 'essence' was used rather than real blueberries considering there is zero tartness. A tinge of toffee and crystal malt add a slight bit of sweetness. The blueberry 'flavor' is very light and not that great.
Mouthfeel- Surprising heavy body with low carbonation for a creamy feel.
Drinkability- Fairly disappointing but considering everything, it could be worse. They definitely need to kick the blueberry up a tinge. Hell, the color made me think this thing was going to be a blueberry explosion. Not the case.

A-Light blueberry purple with a pinkish tinted white head that reduced to a thin cap that left spotty lace.

S-Light blueberry and a bit of sweet biscuit malt.

T-Tart and slightly sour blueberry tang. Light backing biscuit malt backing.

M-Light body, quite crisp but the tartness doesn't linger.

D-All in all the sum is great than the individual parts. Certainly not a blueberry bomb but there is enough flavour and tartness to make it a pleasurable summertime drinker.

Had it on tap at the Granite City here in Madison. Poured the color of cranberry juice with a frothy white and slightly pink head that hung around for a while. Aroma and taste of blueberries are prominent, not much malt to get in the way of it. Not too bad overall, I had two of them. Light and refreshing, good for the season.
