Notes:
A thick creamy head sits atop the opaque blackness of this traditional dry Irish stout. Roasted chocolate and coffee notes make this beer a great treat.

Served in 25 oz mug
I don't know if this is poured nitro or not, but it seems that way.
Served with a bit over a finger of thick creamy tan head that lasts the entire duration of the beer. Color is deep black. Reminds me a lot of a guiness.
Aroma: Roasted malts and chocolate with some grassy hops.
Taste: A lot like the aroma, roasted malts and chocolate. The grassy hops add a touch of bitterness. Also a very faint amount of coffee notes.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy, and roasted. Medium bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Ends relatively clean.
Overall, this isn't a bad beer for what it is. It reminds me a lot of a guiness, but a bit better. It is very easy to drink if you want a lighter flavored stout. I had no problem finishing my mug.

Had on tap in Madison, WI in March 2013. This pours a dark brown color with a creamy light brown head. There is a sweet malt scent. The texture is pretty thin and light that is sweet, creamy with hints of cocoa. It’s fairly decent given the company as it compares pretty similar to Guinness. Tried it once, but probably not going to try again.

I had this beer on tap and from a growler. They were essentially the same. The color is a nice brown and black. The head and lacing is not much to write home about.
I found the tastes and aromas of this beer were complex. This is a dry irish style stout so you don't get so much sweetness. I get coffee chocolate flavors with a hint of a toffee like finish. Then you get this dry light bitterness that ain't bad lingering on the tongue. Some may really like this. The carbonation is a little light and the beer texture is a bit watery.
In summary a nice refreshing stout. I enjoy drinking this baby with the music of the Cranberries playing "Linger" from the cd Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?

On tap at Granite City - Wichita, KS.
A - Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a creamy head. The long lasting head receded to leave thin rings of lace.
S - It smelled of flaked oats, light chocolate and toffee.
T - It tasted of bitter flaked oats and chocolate. Some sweet toffee and caramel balanced it out.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A light to medium bodied ale.
O - This is a nice version of an Irish Dry Stout.
