I have given up on writing formal reviews, lets face it, I don't have the expertise to describe every last ounce of a beer! But I know what I like and what I don't like.
Picked up a growler from the brewery. They have a sophisticated counter pressure system so big props for that and the preservation of fresh growler.
Smell of this is awesome. Spent as much time smelling as drinking.
Very nice taste, I am big fan of Nelson hops. Nice finish to this beer, but a bit thin and watery in the middle.
Very nice beer, had an enjoyable afternoon/evening of drinking this. Well done Peekskill, I highly recommend this one.

On-tap at the brewpub
A burnt orange body with a good amount of cloudiness from the rye. A thin off-white cap clings to the sides and leaves some spider web lacing behind.
Heavy handed on the rye, nice. Dry, grass seed like rye notes with some citrus and pine. Notes of grapefruit and lemon poke through with a touch of alcohol creeping in on the back end.
The flavor hops are a little restrained on the palate. The rye is not bashful, rising to center stage with some earthy notes and a touch of citrus. A moderately bitter finish is pretty damn dry and filled with earthy, grass seed-like spice.
Medium bodied, lower carbonation, which seems to work pretty well.
Love the big rye profile, very good nose, but lacking in a little hoppy flavor towards the end of the palate. Well-made rye ipa. I enjoyed this.

A clear, yellow gold color with a giant white pile of foam on top and gobs of lacing. The aroma is citrus with hay/grass sharpness and an interesting swampy yeast. The flavor is hopped up with salt water taffy citrus intensity. Relatively simple but make no mistake, this is one bitter brew with lots of flavor. The body is medium-plus but the carbonation is fairly aggressive and makes for a very lively, refreshing feel that really delivers the bite to your tongue. But there is also a creamy quality to this exceptional IPA . This definitely lived up to expectations and would have to be among the better IPA's I've had the pleasure of drinking!

Poured a hazy dark straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured balmy tropical fruit hop aromas.
The taste was likewise balmy with elements of pineapple and grapefruit. Soft round malts detected as well.
The mouthfeel was full with a residual bitterness.
Overall a smooth and tasty utter hop bomb.

I had this beer poured on tap at the brewpub into a pint glass.
A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing
S: Rye, Grapefruit, Lemons
T: Rye, Grapefruit
M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Semi Dry, Mildly Bitter
Overall, the combination of rye and citrus hops are killer, a nice spin.
