Formerly known as "Vern". Reviews from 2011 are for the initial pilot batch (Vern) of what would become Track 11 the next year.
A experimental re-mix track, Track 12 is our Angel’s Share that we aged in fresh Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 9 months. To this we added some awesome whole peach slivers, black tea, and a splash of Brettanomyces Clausenni to ferment the peaches. The beer has a great peach nose and a long carmelized bourbon finish. One of the most experimental of all the track series beers.

Nearing the end here. Yet another Lost Abbey tick shared by Todd.
A - Minimal white foam settles to a thin partial cap. Murky and turbid brown body.
S - An odd mix of bourbon and black tea, with only a hint of peach. This is the Angel's Share base, you say? Astringent, and quite strange. Sweetness comes a bit out more as it warms up.
T - The taste is significantly better, with more sweet caramel malts from the base beer and less tea. Peaches come through a little more, and there's mild tropical brightness imparted by the brett. Still, largely caramel, oaky vanilla, brown sugar, and so forth here. Alcohol is well-hidden, which is nice.
M - Surprisingly thin, especially when compared directly to Bourbon Angel's Share. Lower carbonation, surprisingly smooth texture, with less tannins than I expected from fruit, tea, oak, and so forth. Again, well-hidden booze.
D - The smell was very strange, and a tad off-putting, but otherwise I enjoyed this for the most part. The tea seems a bit unnecessary.

Muddy brown body with no head. Nose had caramel and booze, ripe peach, oak, and an odd note of black tea. Lot of peach on the palate, lot of caramel too. Boozy but not especially harsh. The addition of tea is odd and unnecessary, but it's not a big detraction. Barrel takes backseat to peach, but it's still there. Body is full. Feels a bit syrupy. Not a bad beer at all, but not something I'd like to drink a lot of.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.
Pours a murky reddish-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with some fruity and bourbon aromas. Taste is much the same with a fruity finish and an alcohol kick on the finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some interesting aromas and flavors.

Bottle shared thanks to starrdogg from an awesome trader in CA! Tried in order with all tracks in the series. If I had a chance to try this again, I would like to to give it another chance since it seemed others sort of enjoyed it, but it did not work well at all for me. Lost abbey is a phenomenal brewery, but this one was just not right.
The beer is muddy brown with no head or lacing, solid look.
The smell seems like a strong ale that just has most of the major flavors toned down, the tea and peach seem to just decrease the aromas as opposed to adding new elements to the base beer, just doesn't seem like a good combination.
And I was totally right that this combination does not work. The tea and base beer of brandy angels share completely clash and end up tasting like the really bad tea at a bad hotel in a plastic cup that seeps it's plastic flavor into the beverage itself. Bitter, molded fruit flavors, it is rough and for me completely undrinkable, I had no choice but to nail this beer because of these reasons, I'm sorry lost abbey.

Opens with minimal pop and pours out murky and flat, a very unappealing looking beer. Lots of buttery bourbon in the nose, with a funky decaying vegetable aspect hiding under that. I'm not sure if that's coming from the tea or something else. The beer is fairly sweet with medium bourbon character and mild flavors of overripe peach, and a slight sour note. Minimal carbonation, and a medium-heavy mouthfeel. Something of a mess of a beer.

Lost Abbey track beer tasting.
The beer is mahogany hued with a small beige head. The aroma offers booze, oak, dark fruit, funkadelic oddities. Hmm...the flavor is eh...some nail polish and alcohol with dark fruit, maybe cherries soaked in alcohol. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Unbalanced and hot. Perhaps not as bad as I made it sound, but not on par with a special release from Lost Abbey. Tea is subtle and lost in the melange of palate atrocities. Mediocre.

A: poured a dark brown in color with orangish brown highlights and a thin head that barely left any lacing sticking to the glass.
S: definitely was able to sniff out the peachy fruit with a good bourbon presence, woody vanilla notes oozing out, hints of tea, caramel and brown sugar sweetness was pretty potent.
T: it had the angels share character for sure which consisted of brown sugar, maple syrup, caramel, a touch of toffee but with great peachy fruit that accentuated the overall flavor and woody vanilla notes. It did have plenty of bourbon barrel booze and mild tea qualities.
M: the brew was medium in body with a low amount of carbonation which had a sweet, semi fruity, boozy, woody and sticky finish.
O: angel share is a tasty beer but have to say that the peaches really take it to the next level. I honestly didn't get any of the brett character though, it's all good it was still damn tasty.
