Pours a very pale yellow for a Belgian with a nice 2 fingers of white on top that melts rather quickly leaving only a very faint lace around the rim

Aroma is softly mellow...subdued soft fruits, a little banana, and a little warming funky yeast.

Taste is only lightly Belgian to me with some bready yeast notes and light malt with a touch of candied sugar but it is all extremely overpowered by intense citrus peel hops that become overly present as you swallow and finish the drink. Hot alcohol taste seems to want for more age and mellowing.

Mouthfeel is slightly thin, mostly from the drying effect of the hops I suspect.

Aftertaste is bitter hops with little else.

Not what I would call a Belgian Strong Ale at all. Too much of a California Hops influence without a lot of complexity.
