A - Pours somewhere between a brown and an amber, just light red highlights on the outside. Strong brown colored head formation, about 1" is retained.

S - Sweet and spicy - dark fruits of plums, raisins is combined with some coriander and honey.

T - Starts off sweet and strong, raisins, some roasted notes. Mid-stream brings in a spicy set of flavors, belgian yeast esters, honey, a little bit of the rosemary. Finishes with a somewhat sticky malt note, reminds me of caramelized sugar.

M - Full bodied, moderate carbonation. Almost brings it into balance. Alcohol warmth is detectable in the finish. On the sticky side.

O/D - For this style, this beer takes all the malt attributes and pushes it to the edge. Comes off a little cloying at times, but that is okay as I sip it. ABV is awfully strong of course but it maintains the symmetry.

A - Dark black with a finger of frothy tan-khaki head. Fades fairly slowly.

S - Dark caramel malts, Belgian yeast, coriander, clove, pepper, raisins, plums, and other dark fruits, honey, dark candi sugar, rosemary, and some booze.

T - Sweet dark caramel malts, plums, raisins, and other dark fruits, honey, dark candi sugars, Belgian yeast, coriander, clove, pepper, rosemary, and some booze.

M - Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a sweet, warming finish.

D - Great BSDA. Nice balance and complexity.
