Notes:
American Independence Ale is a crisp, refreshing American Style Pale Ale made using locally grown and malted barley and hops. New England’s Warthog wheat gives the beer body and a dense head that holds the citrus and floral aromas from Simcoe, Zeus and brewery-grown Nugget hops. The medium-bodied pale ale is golden in color and the combination of the hops, wheat and two-row malts gives the beer citrus, pine, floral notes and a dry finish.

On tap at The Thirsty Moose. I would rather they ratchet up the hops and made it an IPA. Pale orange coloured body, soapy head and much lace. Citrus flavour, so yes true in that way to the style, but rather a hopped up wheat. I would like this better if in the mood for such a beer.

In cask at the Portsmouth location.
In a pint glass the beer was gold in color with a medium-sized white head. There was a lot of lace.
Aroma of sweet malt and citrus, a little better than average.
Taste improved a little on the aroma. Mostly grapefruit, a little lemon. Some biscuit.
Nicely hopped, with a lingering bitterness.
Very drinkable.
