Visited on 11/29/08.
A welcoming, laid back atmosphere with with good music (mostly Sinatra and B.B. King when I was there). Many of the tables are set up around big comfy couches. This place prides itself on using environmentally friendly ingredients and offering discounts for walking or riding your bike. Lots of green love. You feel right in the mix of things as the aging barrels and fermenters are positioned around you. When I visited they were busy mashing and sparging in the back and kept bringing the sweet smelling spent grains by our table. They also have outside seating in the summer.
No complaints about the quality of the food or the beer. Perfect.
One of the owners waited on our table. A very friendly and extremely helpful dude, who had the patience to find a unique brew for all the macro lager lovers at my table. Everything was prompt as well.
A great selection of Trinity offerings as well as dozens of other great craft brews on-tap. When I was there they were specializing in various winter brews. Most of my table was loving the Delirium Noel, while I had a Pliny and a Ten Fidy. Not as many choices as some beer bars I've been to, but everything they offered was very high quality.
Food was all organic and delicious. I had the Spicy Chocolate Stout Chili. The homemade sweet potato fries were a hit with the spicy curry ketchup. The Trinity sampler comes out with a different cheese for each brew (amazing maytag bleu cheese). The Mac n' cheese was killer. My second time there I tried the Belgian Cheese Soup and the Beef Stuffer. Both amazing.
Everything was reasonably priced. The most expensive food item on the menu is $8. I took home a growler of Nefarious Ten Pin for $15.
Easily the best beer bar and brewpub in Colorado Springs. A unique and memorable place, and a must-try if you're in the area.

This is my new favorite place! I checked it out this week while on business at Peterson AFB. Trinity has a kind of hippy vibe, with decorated skateboard decks on the wall and a very laid back atmosphere. The bartender whose name I unfortunatly didn't get, immediately came over to tell us about the beers and get us started. They were out of their IPA (bummer) which they normally have on nitro and regular CO2, but they had 2 versions of the Saison including a 12%er which went down way too easily. The beers were great and they have another 20 or so from other breweries including a couple Belgians. I'll review the beers in the appropriate place. The brewery is in a glassed in area so you can watch the brewing process, and there are commfy couches to chill on in the back of the place. The bar is way cool, made out of recycled beer bottles, and it's huge! The food is more to the vegetarian side, although there is a bacon appetizer, a BLT, and a beef stuffed sandwich. The belgian frites were great and the homemade sauces, especially the curry ketchup, were excellent. Their homemade mac and cheese and chili were also first rate. All in all a great place with a diverse crowd and well worth seeking out. All the staff including Jason the Head Brewer were friendly and helpful. If I lived in the area it would definately become my regular pub!

Very lovely place. It seems to be the spot in COS to hit up if you want so real creative brews. The people are fantastic and love the vibe in this place. Some of the customers were a little bit on the rough edgy side but hey it takes all kinds. Great place to visit if you want to try something new that is sure to take your taste buds on a roller coaster ride!! I will be back again and again for sure. The staff is also fantastic. Couldn't ask for more.

This place is what I had in my mind as the ultimate brewery and beer bar. It is what I would open. A relaxed cool vibe, recycled materials used to build shelves stools and tables, crushed glass beer bottle bar top inlayed with resin with lights shining through it, an old shed structure inside where the brew tanks are housed decorated with hop vines and made to look a historic, wooden casks with tasting notes of how the beer is progressing are next to the living room area complete with couches and low tables, modern, vibrantly colored toilets with environmentally friendly flushless/waterless urinal. I could go on. The atmosphere is incredible, one of the best brew pubs I have been to in the world. The Blue Grass, CCR and other feel-good music makes you feel relaxed and puts you in a bright mood. If you ride your bike, run or use your own kinetic energy, you receive a 10%.
The employees are really friendly and the service is prompt. They seem like they are having fun. They are quick to explain a certain beer and every glass is rinsed with a high powered stream of water before a beer is served in it. Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
There is always a shelf-service jug of water and hibiscus tea, free of charge, with corn based cups (not petrolum) that are environmentally friendly. Cloth napkins are used rather than paper.
The beer list is impressive. They have approximately 25 beers on tap (6 of their own with one on cask and Nitro tap) including some from England, Belgium, Czech Republic, California, Alaska, and local Colorado breweries such as White Fox Brewing and New Belgium Brewing Company. All quality beers! One would not need to look beyond their own house brews to be totally satisfied. Every one of their beers is world class. Each beer is served in appropriate glassware and prices are $5 per glass. I did the sample of beers and it was served on a round serving platter with a sample of cubed sharp white cheese and toothpicks. The appearance and method is on the level with the Belgians or Germans.
The food was fantastic, with lots of vegetarian options and unique combinations of flavorful ingredients. I tried both the Belgian fries and the sweet potato fried with Cajun spices. AMAZING! With about nine dipping sauces to choose from, some are homemade, you won't know which ones to get because there are all awesome! For desert, they also have a chocolates and nuts plate, cheese, bread, olives and fruit and a beer float, local ice cream with their Awaken Stout.
In my top three favorite beer pubs of all time, quite possibly the top.

After touring the Garden of the Gods this made for a great afternoon stop to rehydrate. The pub is at the end of a strip mall that's just off the road and is easy to miss. The feel off the place is a mountain bar. There's a lot of woodwork around the windows and doors with corregated metal in various places. There's lots of brewania signage and stickers. There's planty of taps that showcase what the brewpub makes and lots of other good picks, a kinda screwball variety but it's fun even just to read. The food menu is kinda small and has some items that run from pretentious to ecentric, like the bacon/caramel cheesecake with bacon sauce and the sliders with a choice of kobe or lamb.
The staff is quick to get your order in, but I wonder about their personal hygene. This place is a blast. So long as I don't get hepatitis from the granolies congregating there it's a definite repeat stop.

Atmosphere: Really nice atmosphere. Beer bottles in a cool display near the back, a garage door that was open with chic modern couches to lounge on, a non-smoking AND a smoking patio, cool bar made of melted down beer bottles, neat artwork that was their own. I have no complaints and felt really comfortable in here. Some of the locals looked at us oddly but aside from that it was really cool.
Quality: Everything was great, this was a rare gem I just stumbled onto while in town. Great food, service, good beer, and the place rocked.
Service: While I sometimes had to flag the bartender down, I think he was just low key so I can't fault him too much. Very solid service overall, and never forgot anything we asked for. Offered tasters of any beer we wanted to try and was happy to discuss the beers too.
Selection: For a place that brews their own (6 on tap) I was really surprised at the extensive tap list that they don't make. They had about 20-25 guest taps, and some of them were VERY good like La Folie from New Belgium.
Food: The African Tundra soup they had the day we were there was out of this world. The food was extremely good, fresh, tasted healthy and delicious.
Value: Prices were very reasonable. I think for both of us to eat a bowl of soup, 2 entrees, and a few beers the bill was $30 plus tip. Very reasonable.
I can't say enough about how much I loved this place. It was a place we just happened onto by accident, I hadn't read a thing about it and I recommend the place, the food, and their beers HIGHLY. A must visit place in the Denver area.

This place just opened up and is in my mind one of the better pubs in Colorado Springs. It is located on Garden of the Gods Road on the north west side of town.
It has a nice laid back atmosphere with a nice sized bar. There is also a decent amount of inside and outside seating.
They have very good organic food. Most items are low fat and quite healthy. They also do a good job at offering dishes that pair well with beer. Great cheese, fruit and nut plates.
The beer selection on tap is quite impressive and fairly priced. Most styles are covered. They also sell growlers of everything. I think I got a growler of La Follie for $20. They offer a 10% discount if you walk or ride your bike.

This is a great little brewpub with an awesome guest tap list. Situated in the corner of a strip mall just north of Centennial on Garden of the Gods Road. 6 of their own beers on tap along with 25 quality guest taps make this a great place to get some quality beer. No wasted taps here. Both bartenders we talked to were very knowledgeable on the beers, both in house and guest. One of the owners is the former brew master from the excellent Bristol Brewery,
Our party sampled the Soul Horkey & Farmhouse #40, both were excellent. Some of the guest taps included Pliney, Brek 471, La Folie, Sierra Bigfoot, Stone Ruination & Arrogant Bastard & Delirium to name a few.
Food was good, we sampled the Belgian Beer Soup, the Mac & Cheese (very rich, killer stuff like Mom makes), Chocolate Chili, BLT, Hummas & Veggie Stuffer with some very tasty beer mustard sauce. All the food was excellent and very reasonably priced in the $5-$9 range.
If you are in Colorado Springs, you need to check this place out. Quality food and quality beer and reasonable prices, it doesn't get much better than this.

food is reasonable depending what you get. got a nice organic house salad for 4 bucks. beer is a bit pricey but considering the selection, im okay with ordering a pint and getting some tasters
atmosphere - a little posh for my liking, but still welcoming and a bit eclectic
quality - beer and fine was both great. i think i tasted 7 beers and had a pint all of which were solid
service - had bartenders, asked a guy with a big beard about tasting and he said it was no problem however many as long as they werent busy, the girl seemed annoyed the one and only time i asked her
selection - the beer selection is incredible, ill be coming back here for the guest taps
food - my four dollar salad was nice, a bit small but its 4 bucks
paid 7 bucks for my pint of blind pig which i thought wasnt too bad, they wanted 12 bucks for a pint of petrus aged pale and 12 bucks for samaels which sort of makes sense but is still damn pricey

this place is aweomse. phenomenal beers, unique styles, tons of variety. theyve got some on cask (including a great ipa), some seasonals (inluding am imperial pumpkin), and some for the ladies (a kiwifruit witbier). great service providing endless free samples of beers. outrageuos food menu too, i had some lamb sliders with local bluecheese and an ipa mustard. really excellent. also had a great list of guest beers from around the country. had a dogfish 120 on tap, which was a nice treat. the place was on the expensive side, but for a chilly autumn monday night, it was just fine with me. i will undoubtedly be back here. they have a ton of neat events as well which feature their beers, local music, and inspired cuisine. worth a trip from denver any day!
