A: Pours a hazed burnt orange color. A large, rocky white head forms that gently recedes. Some lace is left behind.
S: Big pine, and resinous hops up front. Bitter grapefruit rind, burnt and caramelized sugars. Lingering, nondescript bitterness last forever.
T: Like the nose, big piny hops. Very resinous and bitter. Grapefruit rind, burnt caramel sugars and lingering bitterness that lasts all day.
M/D: A full, chewy, and resinous body. Big bitterness and big alcohol. This is not something I particularly want to come back to.
Yep, this succeeds in what it tries to be. Which is a huge IPA. Not something I am a big fan of though. For me, nice to try once. That is it.

Has an amber pour with a white-reddish head with a long retention time. Has tropical fruit aroma--mango--and some sugary malt caramel. Tastes of mango and pears with wheat.

Bottle purchased by a friend directly from the brewery. Seeing the ratings for this beer I can't help but wonder if the bottle I received is out of date or was exposed to extreme temperatures. Bottle consumed within 1 week of purchase. Surprisingly disappointed. Would like to give this one another shot in the future.
