A: The beer is relatively clear amber yellow in color. It poured with a soapy white head that died down very quickly, leaving only a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass and a small patch in the center. There are some hints of particles near the bottom of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of apple juice and maple syrup are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the maple flavors taste more like maple candy but without any of the associated sweetness. No bitterness is present.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The maple flavors make this beer unique, but it tasted like it could have used more hops or a fuller body.

A - Poured from a 22oz. bottle into a pint glass. A rich golden amber ale with little sediment. It was an older bottle so didn't get much head from the pour. Average appearance. (3/5)
S - I was disappointed with the smell, based on the bottle I figured I would get a more maple on the nose. (2.5/5)
T - Very solid taste. I was quite happy with the medium body ale with a little hop and a rich maple note on the finish. Definitely what I was looking for in this beer. (4.25/5)
M - A standard finish beer with an average crisp. Smooth finish. I'd drink it again for sure. (3.5/5)
O - I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a quite maple beer, but definitely not an overwhelming maple taste. (3.5/5)

Recommended by a buddy on here (JMScowcroft) to try, so I plunked down the $6 for the bomber and rolled the dice.
Pours the color of maple syrup, next to no head but I did not pour over aggressively.
The nose is slightly malty with a faint whiff of real maple syrup in there: not overdone and that could be easy to do when using maple syrup as an ingredient.
Drinks a bit like a Vermont maple soda, naturally a bit heavier and wheatier.Reminds me of the cereal from childhood called BUCKWHEATS from the 1970s (maple flavored buckwheat flakes). Not an overly light wheat beer by any stretch, and more flavorful than it is refreshing as it drinks a wee bit heavy. No alcohol detected whatsoever.
The beauty of this novelty beer is that the flavors and ingredients are artfully blended without being overwhelmingly sweet or malty/yeasty. The balance has to be respected even if it is naturally on the sweet side due to the boiled Vermont maple sap in there.
While the bomber wasn't necessarily a chore to get through, it might be better suited to sharing given the monotone sweetness, and would be a hit at a dinner party. Worth a try and a good effort from Rock Art.

Thanx KTBlue22:
Bottled Feb 19 (but that's all it says; assuming that's 2013)
Bomber to pint glass:
A: red/amber colored clear body with a two finger white foamy head that rapidly dissipates and leaves a tad of lacing in its wake
S: maple up front but not overbearing just combined nicely with some light malt and wheat, slight apples very faint
T: mainly sweet with the previously mentioned flavors, maple becomes predominant and lingers into aftertaste and finish
M: medium, sessionable, adequate carbonation
O: wow, what a nice brew, unsure if its truly an APA, but hey I'd have this one again and am certainly glad I opened it on Easter and had it along with the ham

Rock Art Brewery - Vermont Maple Wheat Ale
This is my second attempt on a maple-infused brew, I went into this with high hopes and I was pleasantly surprised!
Look - Pours honey-tinted with a small, fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Good lacing. Moderate carbonation.
Smell - Wheat and apple citrus with maple and malt overtones. Smells great.
Taste - Carbonated touch of malt, wheatiness, just the right amount of maple. Smooth and crisp.
Mouthfeel - Leaves a faint maple and some typical wheat leftover. Quite drinkable and rather light on the palette.
Overall - I was definitely pleased with this brew, this was very well done. True to the wheat style with just enough maple to differentiate it.

A-light amber color with a nice off-white head and some lacing
S-wheat, malt, maple, hint of sweetness
T-malt, maple, wheat bread, mild bitter finish
F-light to medium body with moderate carbonation, crisp
O-an interesting pale ale, a little sweet, but I do like the maple flavor, wish there were a little more hops present

It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Yummy! 5 for 5!
Lightly hopped as a good wheat beer should. Not over bearing with the maple. Color of amber/brown for the beer and creamy head.
Purchased at the brewery. Trying to locate it in the Boston area.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden copper in color (similar but a little more orange than apple cider) with minimal amounts of visible carbonation, some golden orange highlights, and a significant amount of black sediment in the bottom of the glass.. The beer has a half finger tall sudsy light beige head that quickly reduces to a couple of very small patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Upfront there are some light to moderate amount of caramel malts and some maple, though not overly sweet maple. There are lighter amounts of light fruits (apple) and just a touch of something akin to cider. Hints of clove and wheat.
T: Upfront there is a moderate amount of wheat with some notes of clove and pepper spiciness. After that the maple flavors come through, definitely maple though pleasantly not too sweet. There is a moderate amount of bitterness towards the finish which does not linger for too long.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.
O: Overall, this is a pretty interesting beer and I enjoy the maple additions to it - I also like that the maple does not make the beer overly sweet. Definitely an interesting example of a maple beer and one I'm glad that I found...even when I wasn't looking for it and bought it on a whim.

Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Hazy amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Light maple syrup nose and flavor is mellow to sweet maple syrup without much wheat. It is a light summer ale. $5.99 for a 22oz bottle from Beverage Warehouse Winooski, VT.

Picked this up at the Rock Art brewery, poured into a Duvel tulip.
A - Poured a crystal clear mapley brown hue with a nice three finger head...that immediately fizzed away like a can of soda. Ehh.
S - Smell is average too. I picked this bottle up maybe two months ago and I remember it smelling WAY more mapley when I had it on tap. What I get now is way too much malts and malt sweetness with super super faint maple on the finish.
T - Taste isnt all that bad. A bit too malty up front with almost a tinny flavour. The finish though is nice subtle and sweet maple candy. Again though, I remember thoroughly loving this at the brewery and yet here I am drinking this incredibly underwhelmed.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated...not flat, but definitely needs more as it comes across as thin/watery.
O - Overall I enjoyed this on tap but this...this I really dont care for. The maple is too faded and not nearly "in your face" as it was on tap. Disappointed.

Pours a lighter fizzy head that pretends to reach 1 finger but pretty much instantly disappears with no trace at all that it even existed except my fading memory making it look like a flat cider, with a mostly clear slight chill hazed reddish orange beer.
Nose brings plenty of maple, maple candy mostly with just a bit of syrup, light caramel and coppery malts, but that's pretty much it.
Taste brings plenty of maple again, like I stuffed my mouth full of maple candy, but it remains fairly dry. the maple brings just a hint of syrup and sweetness but overall mostly just full flavor and not the residue. If it wasn't for the slightest hint of caramel malts I would have thought this was a maple mead. As it warms I start to get hints of what could be wheat flavors, but again barely. Finish gives a slight booze kick with some very light bitterness, and fairly dry with a hint of stickiness, and plenty of lingering maple.
Mouth is med bodied, very slightly syrupy, very little carbonation.
Overall not bad, I'm usually not a fan of maple beers, but this one fared pretty well with the nice maple candy flavor and not super sweet or syrupy. The lack of carbonation doesn't help though, and the lack of overall malts with just faint hints of malt and wheat gives it a bit of a kick in the nuts as well. So it's not a bad beer, but it doesn't do much either.

An extra from youbrewidrink. Thank you, Joe.
Pouring amber with a head that is creamy beige. I don't know for sure, though, the retention is *so* bad it disappears in seconds. Nice clarity, though. The nose is mildly hoppy with a cascade hop profile, along with a mild maple sweetness, nutty and sugary. The use of maple sap is marginally obscured by the hops, and unfortunately, isn't complemented by it either. There's a green, chlorophyll-like note, moderately mineral-y and chalky in a way I don't like. The maple component also has a fruity note to it.
The palate opens mildly sweet, in a way that clearly isn't a malt sweetness ('cos it's from the maple syrup!). This is followed by flavors of Cascade hops and a mild bitterness. The wheat adds a twang (a tartness, even) to the mid-palate that lingers on into the finish. Fairly dry and highly carbonated, this beer is rather watery, disappointingly so. IMO, the hops just don't work with the maple syrup.
