Notes:
We brewed this one because we just can't get enough of those hops. IPA's seem to be a great choice any time of the year. They have a great malt flavor and hop profile, just what a beer connoisseur is looking for. We decided to give this one a bit more hops.

Thanks to DrDogBeer for this!
A: pours an excellent bronze color. little bit of head that drops. bone colored head
S: nice citrus. little bit of grass too
T: Grapefruit/citrus sweetness. solid matly finish, not real ABV blast, and a pretty dry finish
M: falls on the lighter side, not overpowering and refreshing
D: pretty high, all in all

Picked this up on a trip to Killington, we don't get it in columbus and I couldn't turn down a local double IPA.
Poured unto a wine glass from 22oz bottle. Pours orange with a single finger white head that sticks to the side if the glass.
Smells hoppy, bready, citrus, typical IPA smells but nothing stands out really.
Taste isn't as hoppy as I expected but the hops were prevelant immediatly. Has a well balanced malt flavor but doesn't taste like an imperial or double really. I get a lot if citrus and grapefruit. I get some peanut taste too.
Overall this was alright. It's very easy drinking and tastes more like an American Pale Ale. It very average.

22 oz bottle was poured into a snifter.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that has reduced to a thin layer and left some lacing on the glass. It a copper color with some haziness to it, but you can see bubbles slowly moving up through the glass.
Smell: Faint citrus and grapefruit aromas, followed by bready and caramel malts.
Taste: There is a plethora of hop bomb flavors that make up the 80 IBU's. Caramel and bready notes in there with some lingering mellow bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, full bodied, medium carbonation, lingering bitterness, and easy to enjoy.
Overall: Pretty solid score for 4.39 at Oak Hill in Scarborough, ME. The 8% is not even noticeable too. A bit of lingering bitterness that is easily bearable. Hopefully they move bottles of this on my next trip to OOB.

Out of the bomber and into my snifter:
A: hazy orange colored body left a one finger white foamy head that concaved gently into the body. No carbonation was seen rising and minimal lacing was left.
S: rich fruity notes up front with hops backing it up very strong. Malts were more subdued.
T: pretty much the same
M: medium with some slight sharpness on the tongue. At 8% for the ABV, the alcohol was fairly hidden well which lead to fairly sessionable beer.
O: this would be a fruit/hop forward double IPA, thought it was good for the most part, but probably won't seek it out again.

Appearane – This is a beautiful, shiny, but somewhat cloudy perfect orange in color with just the right amount of head.
Smell – The rich, orange and tangerine hops are mixed with a bit of grapefruit. The hop profile is very fruity with a faint malt backbone.
Taste – The fruity hops come out just as strong at the taste but they are mated with some leafy endive and a bit more malty flavor.
Mouthfeel – This is medium-bodied with a very bitter backbone. It is lightly but playfully carbonated.
Drinkability – This was my first beer from this brewery and it is the complete package. It is highly quaffable for the experienced DIPA drinker, well-balanced, and unique. Also, the quality of ingredients is exceptional.

Poured a dark copper hue with a one finger foamy off white head. there was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured piney hops and a balmy caramel.
The taste consisted of full on caramel malts adorned with waves of resinous piney hops which lingered well past the finish.
The mouthfeel was full with a residual hop spice.
Overall a balanced DIPA. Very flavorful.

(4.0) A: Hazy amber with a tall and marshmallow-like eggshell coloured foam head. Very long lasting retention with streaky lacing. Attractive.
(4.0) S: Hops! Wet pine needles, very tart grapefruit, sour lemon zest, baked bread, honey, and a bit like moth balls (in a good way). A pungent bitter and earthy hop aroma dominates this with a complimentary mellow bread backbone. Very good.
(4.0) T: Pine, grapefruit rind, apple, spices including nutmeg, honey, and a very nice and robust baked bread backbone. The finish reminds me of a honey oat bread loaf. Incredibly bitter upfront but the malt kicks in on the backend to leave a smoother finish. This is good stuff.
(4.0) M: Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Very oily and velvety with a chewy texture. Bitter qualities leave your tongue feeling dry and on cloud 9.
(4.0) D: Rock Art continues to impress me with their reputable line of Extreme offerings. Not up there with Vermonster but not that far behind either. A solid and very hoppy IPA that I would easily indulge in again.
