Walking in you are transported to a small Polish farmhouse. Wood paneling and tables compliment a rustic decor to present a cool atmosphere. The waitresses are dressed in traditional Eastern European dresses which adds to the whole scene.
Beerwise they have a selection of Polish and German beers and are available in a number of sizes. Nothing earth shattering but a nice old world selection. The last tiime I went they had Warca, Zywiec, Weihenstephaner and a dark Czech lager.
The main reason to go here other than the decor is the food. Besides being ridiculously cheap it is very good. The pork hocks roasted in dark beer are a winner and clock in around $8.
If you are in Greenpoint this is a great place to have dinner and grab a brew.
