Notes:
The Daly Double, an India Pale Ale brewed in memoriam of a friend of Half Acre Beer Co. Terry Daly passed away suddenly after spending a lot of time at our brewery over the last few years. Terry was a fan of music, geometry, his two Huskies, Moon & Luna, and amply hopped craft beer. We’re pretty sure that Terry was the foremost consumer of Daisy Cutter Pale Ale.
People are the larger body that is the meat of our brewing company. Not the tanks or the beers, but the heart of what we do. The Daly Double is for Terry and all the other folks that give breweries life. To Terry, Huzzah!

22oz brown bomber, no freshness date.
Its like getting slapped in the face with a bag of oranges while chewing on a marmalade sandwich. A big IPA that almost straddles the line between AIPA and DIPA. Seek a bottle out if you can.
LOOK: Orange amber, clear with a beautiful lacing
SMELL: Citric zest, mint, faint caramel, fresh pine sap, tobacco, pineapple skin
TASTE: Macerated whole oranges, very smooth, medium body, marmalade, bread crust, hop bitterness, warming alcohol, cashews, peppery, papaya

Poured on tap at tap room 20 oz.
Poured a hazy, very dark orange to light brown with a small fingers worth of white head. Hop forward nose with orange teases as the citra hop shows it's lovely character. Palate follows the nose closely with a huge citra hop presence. Big tropical fruit hits mid sip. The finish is a great balance between malt and dry hop. Really nice medium mouth feel as it isn't quite as big as I have become accustomed to. Low carbonation makes this ale extremely drinkable really enjoying this. Overall, damn, I now know why Half Acre is so highly looked on with those that live in their distro area. Super friendly staff at the taproom bartender Adam is great. The tap room is cool concrete bar with a fake bear head. All in all I will be coming back here for growers once my bottle stoppers are in. Cheers.

Hazy golden orange with an inch of white head and sticky lacing. It has a nice contiuous effervescent stream of carbonation.
Smells of tropical fruit, peach, and pine. The malt is bready and brown sugar sweet It's very aromatic.
It has a pretty good balance of hop and malt, bitter and sweet. The pine is a bit more resinous than in the smell. Orange and peach. It has a sweet backing from the malt. The finish has a slight touch of dish soap and is very bitter.
Good carbonation, but the mouthfeel has an astringency that dries out my tongue. Medium body.
This is a re-review and I scored it out much higher than when I had it from the bottle. At least from my notes, the flavor and aroma were more pronouncedthis time around.
