Oh, the things you find in the back of your cellar….
A: A light bit of gushing upon opening the bottle. Very dark brownish-caramel in color. Slightly hazy. Forms a large, beige colored head. Good retention as it slowly drops to a thick surface coating and a large ring around the edge. Moderate lacing.
S: Aroma is stale hops, caramel and cardboard.
T: Taste is similar. Starts off with a moderate sweetness. Caramel malts with a touch of roasted malts. Some dried citrus rind and a bit of pine resin. Cardboard.
M: On the heavier side of medium. Abrasive and bitter. Moderate carbonation. Dry.
O: Well I do say there was no reason for me to have held on to this beer for this long. It has clearly oxidized and not in a good way. Oh well, it's not reprehensible at this point, but it likely used to be a lot better than its current self.

22 oz bomber into a Founders 15th glass. Cool label and idea! Pours a clear burnt red color with a fingers worth of stubborn white foam. Really sticks around and clings to the glass. Excellent retention. Smells like a faded hoppy American barleywine. Resinous pine and some light citrus, toffee and caramel, a touch of booze and some brown sugar sweetness. Taste is similar to the nose with plenty of toffee, brown sugar, and piney hops. Bitterness is low and the alcohol is noticeable but pleasant. This is tasting really damn good right now, but I can only imagine age hurting this beer. Mouth feel is full and creamy. Overall this is a really solid beer. Really hits on everything that I would want out of the style with a bit of age on it.
