Coco richness and lactose silk surround roasty notes to offer this stout a firm stance.

Taste: Rich toasted malts, dark chocolate, raisins, lactose, smooth with a dry pipe tobacco finish. Semi sweet almost smokey malt and chocolate nose. Black Opaque, foamy tan head with some lace. Medium/full body. A roasted stout for after meal.

Pours a dark brown. Taste is light coffee and hershey milk chocolate syrup. Medium body and low carbonation, Guinness-like mouthfeel.
Overall good but a bit light in the nose and taste.

Appearance- The beer was a dark black color with a mocha colored head.

Smell - The nose was a semi-sweet combination of dark chocolate and lactose.

Taste - The dark chocolate is more better than sweet. The dark chocolate becomes more pronounced toward the back. I think the carbonation keeps any sweetness from lingering.

Mouthfeel- Again, I think the level of carbonation brushes away any sense of sweetness. The carbonation is too high.

Overall - A chocolate milk stout would seem to target the sweet tooth. I feel like Half Acre missed the mark on this one. It is not sweet enough and the carbonation is too aggressive.

This is straight up chocolate milk in stout form. Pillowy, dairy forward, cocoa heavy with a body that is at once chewy and slick. Great balance with the bitter elements smoothed out by the sweet playful chocolatey pieces. Melt down some ice cream and you'll find a similarly creamy delight. This is good all round.
