I generally prefer fruit beers that are more subtle, but this is a really delicious beer if you like apple beers. It smells exactly like an apple jolly rancher, but it has a very smooth apple flavor with a bit of spice to it. It's a nice treat for a special occasion or something different. however, due to the sweetness I wouldn't drink more than one at a time.

Presentation: 11.2 oz. brown bottle served in a stemless, oversized wine glass.
Appearance: Thin 1/2 finger head that fizzles out into a thin ring that stays 'till the end, and it leaves some great lacing. It's a cloudy, bright yellow color.
Smell: It has a simple, very sweet and pleasant smell. A mix of malt with red and green apples.
Taste: The sweet and sour taste is great and something that's not found in any other brew. The sour of the green apples dominate, but it's balanced nicely by a red apple and malt sweetness in the background.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and medium bodied with very little carbonation. It's light and very easy to drink.
Overall: Despite the sweetness on the nose and palate, everything feels nicely balanced, surprisingly. This beer is not cloying at all and doesn't have that candy flavor that turns away a lot of people from these types of fruit beers. It's great, very simple and refreshing. Proof that a good beer is not just about having a thousand flavors crammed into a bottle.

330ml bottle purchased on sale. Poured into snifter.
A: Pours a very cloudy lemon color with a finger of dense and frothy egg-shell white head that faded into a lasting film.
S: Huge notes of green apples on the nose mixed with Belgian yeast and wheat. Apples smell candy-like and lightly sour.
T: More sugar apple candy taste. I get faint notes of butterscotch, cinnamon, spiced apple, wheat, and spicy Belgian yeast as well. I find this beer more sugary and sweet than tart or sour. There is just a hint of tartness in the aftertaste though.
M: Very smooth full body with a syrupy mouthfeel over soft carbonation. Actually pretty sippable.
O: Pretty similar to cider, and unlike the greats of the style. Not bad for a buck or two, but not something I’d drink often.

Floris Pomme. Served on-draught into a generic pilsner glass at the Delirium Cafe in Brussels. Reviewed from notes taken in June 2011. Cost was 3.00 euro.
A: Pours a one finger head of soft but not fluffy cream, good thickness, and good (~4.5 minute) retention. Colour is a semitransparent yellow.
Sm: Sour green apple and moderately full barley.
T: Apple body and climax. A bit like the sour apple flavour of sweeties - i.e. not true apple. Not artificial, however. Very refreshing and pleasant. Simple but effective. A bit lemony towards the finish. Very well balanced, but its simplicity makes this easy.
Mf: Smooth and wet, but not too thin. Full enough to support the flavours and let them emerge. Complements the flavour profile.
Dr: Extremely easy to drink, refreshing, and fairly priced. Usually sour green apple alcohol induces vomiting for me, but this beer avoids that. So that's a plus.

Bottle pour for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a slightly murky orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt and lots of spiced apple aromas. Taste is much the same with a flavor that is quite sweet. There is a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but not all that beer like in my opinion.

half cider half beer to me. pours hazy and pale wheat colored, looks like a pear cider. great big head on it but it doesnt last long. smells like fresh green apples, tart and crisp. yeast also adds a nice farmhouse kick to it. flavor is a journey, sweet for just a minute like fresh pressed juice, then comes a tartish granny smith wave, followed by a wine like finish, dry as can be. odd in the mouth with all the sweetness up front and so little body behind it. somewhat of a sugary drink. also a little on the expensive side for what it is, but overall one i thought was pretty good. dont think id want more than one though in a single sitting.

Poured from 11.2 oz. bottle into Stella Artois "chalice."
Appearance: Pours a murky golden with a three-finger soda-like head that dissipates just like soda, quickly and with no lacing to be seen.
Smell: It smells just like a cider, which is what I'm thinking it is. Apples, slight earthy/funk quality.
Taste: This is just a less alcoholic version of hard apple cider, seriously. This tastes very similar to Woodchuck or Crispin, perhaps a bit more sweet and not as clear on the flavor profile. Apples, slight funk, slight cinnamon/nutmeg.
Mouuthfeel: This is where it kind of differentiates from hard cider. While cider is usually like a sparkling wine in mouthfeel, this is more creamy with a heavier body. Moderate body and a light carbonation.
Overall: It's good, sure, but in the end it tastes just like a hard cider. If you're a fan of cider, you can't go wrong with this.

Pours cloudy straw with a minimal white head and little lacing.
Smells like apple juice. Somewhat similar to NG Apple with a little more funk and a bit more sweetness.
Tastes somewhat like apple cider, but again a kind of artificial sweetness to it and it came out more as warmed.
Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Very cloying.
Artificial sweetness and the warmer it got the more undrinkably sweet it was. If you are splitting a 12 oz bottle 3 ways may be ok otherwise no way.
