Had several friends raving about this one, albeit on tap. I waited a few weeks to try this one. 750ml bottle into a goblet.
Pours a golden brown, red-tinged, with a good amount of carbonation that yields a finger's-width of gold-white head.
Yeast and spicy aroma that's faintly reminiscent of bananas.
Tastes good, not stellar, but good. Taste alcohol and yeast, nutmeg. Creamy in the mouth, almost like a tongue-coating. Not unpleasant.
A little hot in the mouth, thanks to that alcohol tinge, but decent beer.

A-Pours dark brown with an incredibly thick off white head that lasts for a long time and leaves great lacing
S-spicy, herbal, and as expected is dominated by Belgian yeast
T-much like the nose as Belgian yeast dominates with some hints of clove and chocolate. It is pretty boozy as well.
M-fairly thick and creamy
D-very drinkable as it is not overly complex, but its high abv. will likely cut into the amount consumed
Overall, this is a good version of the style, but I prefer Delirium Tremens.

Smell: Spice, Peaches, Fig, Plums, Apricots. Some alcohol. Notes of woody/nuttyness.
Taste: follows the nose with the fruit but that's about it. A little bit of spice but not like I smelled. You can taste the alcohol for sure. To sum it all, it's a belgIan strong dark but not really a christmas version.
Mouthfeel: not to thin and not to thick, a nice balance. No alcohol bite but you know it's there. Good carbonation, easy to drink.
Overall: probably would get again next year if I saw it on the shelf while shopping but not somthing I will seek out and would probably skip over in preference of other holiday beers. It will definetly get you feeling good at 10 abv.
