Bottle from Hyvee in Council Bluffs, IA
No bottled on date visible ("3" is checked on label)
Poured into a tulip glass
Delirium Noel focuses on heavier flavors for the colder months by bringing in darker malts and subsequent dried fruit characters. A good beer, but not one I'd want to drink more than one of per season.
Pours a 1cm, very light tan head, which very quickly subsides to a thin ring around the glass with minimal lacing. Body is a light caramel brown color, orange tones appear when held to a light. No carbonation appears to be visible. Not a particularly memorable appearance.
Aroma is very smooth, no ethanol detectable, a solid blend of caramel malts, butterscotch, dates, roasted nuts, and bourbon.
Opens with some caramel malt and Belgian dark candi sugar sweetness. Dates, bourbon, and caramel then arise with mid-palate. Ethanol detectable from mid-palate onwards, not unexpected in a 10% brew, and integrated fairly well into the blend of flavors. Generally, a heavier flavor with darker malts and higher ethanol influencing the resulting taste.
Body is of medium heft, with fairly prickly carbonation, which is somewhat surprising given the minimal amount of visible carbonation. Resulting beer is at first sharp, then creamy due to the foaming characteristics from the carbonation.

A-Pours dark brown with an incredibly thick off white head that lasts for a long time and leaves great lacing
S-spicy, herbal, and as expected is dominated by Belgian yeast
T-much like the nose as Belgian yeast dominates with some hints of clove and chocolate. It is pretty boozy as well.
M-fairly thick and creamy
D-very drinkable as it is not overly complex, but its high abv. will likely cut into the amount consumed
Overall, this is a good version of the style, but I prefer Delirium Tremens.
