Hazy amber brown color. Ivory head with excellent retention and some stickage on the glass.

Wonderful dark fruit aroma, mostly figs and dates. Sweet smelling and inviting.

Flavor showcases a number of different fruits. Tropical fruits like pineapple and coconut followed by sweeter dates. Hint of brown sugar sweetness as well. Hops are subtle with a fresh leafy dryness and just enough to balance. Alcohol sits in the back and mellow yeast character comes to life in the finish.

Smooth texture, medium bodied and a snappy carbonation.

Great brew! Complex, balanced and showcases great Belgian qualities.

A: Dark brown with a sand-colored/khaki-colored head, about a finger thick with good retention. A simply beautiful brew. Just the right amount of translucence -- not entirely clear, but not murky or dirty.

S: Some fruity notes -- namely dried stone fruits like apricot. Perhaps a bit of citrus. Light hops and caramely malt. Agitation provokes the alcohol. A little bit of cocoa in the finish, but it is very subtle. I think the alcohol masks the potential, though.

T: Cocoa is the first taste I picked up on the palate. The hops and the fruit slide in after the initial malty cocoa phase. The aftertaste is a bit yeasty with only an afterthought of the fruit. The fruit is definitely more in the smell than in the flavor. Lingering spice in the prolonged aftertaste.

M: This is a bit more carbonated that I would like, but the mouthfeel is still pretty nice. It bubbles up on the palate immediately.

O: This is a fine beer, but I'm not convinced that this is as good as it has been talked up to be. Definitely worth the money and definitely worth the try. Good beer.

A: Looks a bit like dark pond water. The yeast flakes are so enormous, that it really looks like a pond. Initially lots of head but quickly dissipates to nothing. Dark cola in color with nearly zero rising carbonation.
S: intense, nostril opening, fruity, sweet whiskey, but it really most resembles a tootsie roll.
T: a more intense dubbel, but not as heavy. relatively tart.
M: Low carbonation
O: Pretty good. Flavor certainly shifts as it warms up. But overall, pretty nice.

330ml bottle that's definitely brown but has an egg shell off white covering over it with small purplish specs on the off white cover. Bottle is foiled in purple. Label is like other Delirium brews. Very circusy/psychedelic style art to it. Lots of crazy colors going on with the purple and eggshell off white. Light blue and golden yellow swirls behind a pink elephant lol. It's a remarkable looking bottle. Poured into a Belgian style balloon glass(a fat stemmed tulip)

A - deep ruby red color with a tan colored head that has decent size going on the pour. Settles to a ring of lace that's not that bad until finally fading away to just a swirl of nearly nothing. Moderate stick to the walls of this balloon glass.

S - dark fruit all over. Plum and raisins with small hints of lighter fruit such as soft apple. Belgian style yeast aroma is solid and enjoyable. Aroma has some caramel sweetness and an earthy character in the backdrop.

T - bit hit of dark fruit with a little more apple than the nose suggests. Dark fruit is brilliant. Something that's somewhat like chocolate paired with a weird caramel presence. Belgian yeast remains and really steels the show. Alcohol flavor is there more so in the finish with a unique Belgian Spice throughout the flavor.

M - medium bodied and an almost creamy feel. A lot thicker in the mouth than I'd have given it credit for going in. Smooth in the mouth and enjoyable.

O - I love the bottling and labeling of Delirium brews and this ale backs all that Belgian brilliance up. A must try for any Belgian ale fanatic. Ill drink this any time. There are better Belgian strong dark ales, but this is a fine Belgian dark ale and has a freaking pink elephant on an egg shell bottle and purple foil. This is Belgian at some of its best. Delirium beers are something no beer lover should miss
