Colour and sight: pale blond, the fine and regular effervesce ensures a fine and stable head.
Scent: Slightly malty, a nice touch of alcohol, spicy.
Flavour: Feels like the sound shot of alcohol is igniting the mouth. In reality the tongue and palate are warmed. The taste is characterized by its roundness. The aftertaste is strong, long-lasting and dry bitter.

I bought this so I could culture the yeast to make a starter for a DT clone I was whipping up...well, not enough yeast to get the starter going. But, this is one damn fine brew:
Note - the alcohol can vary from 8.5 to 9.2 % - mine was the 8.5% variety.
Poured into a pint glass, not all of it would fit.
A - 4 - pale gold, with a small head with fine bubbles. Hardly any carbonation going on. May be due to the minute quantity of yeast for bottle conditioning.
S - 3.75- nose is complex, no hops. reminiscent of allspice, some cherries, a little pepper, bready, earthy. very pleasing to my sniffer.
T - 4.5 - OMG! As smooth as a baby's bottom. Not hot at all, given the alcohol content. A very clean ale, bread and allspice dominate, with a little pepper on the back end.
M -3.25- almost flat, small bodied. may be the bottle was old? I'd probably have to try it again.
O - for a big brew, this is SOOO easy to drink. I don't think the lack of carbonation hurts the score. Would have rated it higher if it had more carb, and if it was 9.2%. Definitely on my Beershelf HoF. Would like to try it on tap sometime....

Finally got a hold of these! After seeing the staple pink elephant in a couple of places I’m glad to discover a local store that supplies it.
First off this beer smells incredibly strong with a gassy, spice-like scent. I could open one of these bad boys up across the house and be able to smell it from wherever I’m at (it is possible that I dropped one and it sprayed all over my kitchen which would explain the lingering smell in my house, but that’s not the point).
The look in my ale glass makes it clear that it is very golden and almost a bit hazy looking, a lot more dense than a Pilsner but more transparent than a wheat beer(Hefeweizen).
The taste is out of this world, how the heck did they pack so much flavor into this thing? It’s clear demeanor hints that it might seem weak but looks can be deceiving. Not only is is the flavor profile extravagant, it slowly changes in your mouth giving you a good spectrum of tastes— from spicy and bready to a nice, dry aftertaste that longs for more.
I feel f****** amazing after a couple of these, lest us not forget it’s packing a whopping 8.5% abv.
Highly recommend to every and anyone.
