Thanks Louis for the hook-up, this was an unique treat that I didn't think I'd be able to experience. Served in a 12oz snifter. J. Wakefield/CCB Collab made with guanabana fruit.
A- Pours a murky yellowish orange pear color. Pretty much no head, not overly carbonated. Looks more like juice then beer, which actually goes with the aroma/smell nicely. I wouldn't exactly consider this bad looking for a beer, just not a typical appearance you would expect from a beer.
S- Lots of fresh tropical fruits of pear (the most dominant), passionfruit, guava, a bit of pineapple, and other fruits. Very juice-like in the nose and fairly fragrant with the aroma jumping out at me as soon as I twisted the cap. Not exactly sure what guanabana smells like seeing as I've never had it but this smells great, almost like a blend of a bunch of nice-smelling fruits.
T- Follows suit of the nose with a nice melodee of fruits consisting of pears, guava, passionfruit, and other tropical fruits. Nice bold flavors and drinks almost like a tropical juice drink.
M- Light, juicy, extremely easy drinking, fairly low carbonation which adds to the juice-like aspect.
O- I really enjoyed this unique beer and I actually think that it's fairly underrated. It's definitely not your typical beer and it's the only beer that utilizes the guanabana fruit that I am aware of. It was almost like drinking a fruit juice instead of drinking a beer, the drinkability was very good. I could easily sit back and have a couple glasses. I would definitely recommend checking this out.

Poured from tap into snifter at lokal Miami. Apparently the only draft of this in south Florida right now and was part of hunapu (sp) day. Pours a super murky orange white peachy color. Looks pretty nice. Really tropical aromas...passionfruit and pineapple. Taste is very crisp light tropical fruit. Again pineapple and passionfruit dominate. Slight bitter finish to balance the sweet tropical fruit.
Nice brew but not mind blowing...but a great fruit beer.

On tap at CCB tap takeover OTC.
A: This is one ugly beer. Extremely murky, hazy straw color. Tiny white head that immediately dissipates. No head, looks more like fresh squeezed juice.
S: Hm, now this is interesting. Light malt, super fruity: citrus, papaya, guava, pineapple. I've never had guanabana so I can't compare it to that though.
T: Light, sweet maltiness. Huge pineapple, guava, peach and citrus flavors with a nice hoppy bite. I wouldn't compare it to the bitterness of an IPA though, it tastes more like slightly bitter fruit juice.
M: Super juicy and refreshing. Nice light mouthfeel. Barely any carbonation though.
O: Great, yet unconventional beer. I really enjoyed this, I would gladly drink this all day at the beach.

CCB Guanabana
Colab w/ Wakefield.
Very cloudy Milky yellow in color. Medium sized white head. Some light lacing. Aroma is pleasant, fairly tropical, but not of the NZ hop type of tropical. Bread, yeasty, banana, and unripe passion fruit. Taste is moderately sweet, but mostly bready with significant yeast and green banana. Taste is muddled and dirty. Medium full bodied, creamy, smooth mouthfeel, almost like a melted smoothie.
This is one of the first Wakefield beers I've had the chance to try and, considering the hype surrounding his name, I felt this one was quite the let down.

Cloudy yellow body with little lace and a small head. Lemon and orange aroma for citrus with musty grain and pale malt. light body for the style and moderate carbonation. Very good unfamiliar tropical flavor i cant out my finger on with the fruit being slightly tart and musty. Hops are generic but well represnted.
