Another one brewed for the Tampa Bay Brew Bus. This beer pours out a hazy golden yellow, with a tiny head. A uninspiring pour for a style where the appearance is often a beer's best aspect. The aroma is lemony, with grainy malts and a bit of citrus hops. The taste is laid-back and wholly enjoyable - with sharp lemon and a light citrus malt briefly peeking in over a grainy malt and wheat backbone. The mouthfeel is light and well-carbonated, and the drinkability is good. Overall, this is a pretty good American Wheat. I have to say, my hopes were up for this beer after the excellent American Wheat that CCB brewed for the Criterium bike festival later this year. I was kind of hoping this would be the same formula brought back year round, but it's not. Are Wheat There Yet? is a bit more traditional.
