Single finger head on a slightly hazy bright golden body. Aroma is mostly of citrus including orange peel and grapefruit. Flavor is very nice with balance of malt and hops which don't make you think IPA but stay true to the style. Hops provide citrus and earthy notes. The malts are mild but are applied well. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Another nice beer from cigar city which is hoppy but stays true to the pale ale style.

Pours a rich golden color, clear and bright with a solid, though short-lived, white head. A minute after the aggressive pour only a thick film remains though that lasts seemingly forever. Nice lace, too.
Smell is piney hops, flowery with a hint of malt.
Taste is a fair redo of the nose, an astringent hoppiness, floral with light malt and some citrus.
A solidly middle-bodied brew with a middle of the style effervescence. Dry finish with a lingering evergreen note. A good beer, following the West Coast style. Not my first choice (the West Coast style that is) but worth drinking. Reminiscent of Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale. My biggest problem is that the West Coast style Pale Ale is so close to an IPA that seeing the difference between them requires a magnifying glass.

Poured from a 32oz growler into a Sam Adams perfect pint.

This one pours out a brilliant toasted gold color with a finger of white head. The aroma? The amount of dry-hopping here is bordering on ridiculous. The taste is also very hoppy and bitter, with massive amounts of floral, citrus, and tropical fruit hops. There's a bit of a buttery flavor here as well. The malts are very light, and the finish has the good old super-dry "bite into a hop pellet" finish. The mouthfeel is light and gently carbonated, and the drinkability is outstanding. This is a superb extra hoppy pale ale.

Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at CCB tasting room. Poured into pint glass.

A: Golden yellow, relatively clear, half-finger white head. Lots of visible carbonation.

S: Orange/citrus and tropical fruit hoppiness, with a backbone of light malt that's almost missing. Aroma is very hop-forward.

T: Follows the nose well. Hop-forward, and the citrus & tropical fruit hops shine. The light malt adds just enough sweetness to make this more than a one-note hop-bitter beer.The finish is citrus/lemony pith but not overly bitter.

M: Light mouthfeel, good carbonation sensation. No alcohol presence to speak of.

O: This was pretty tasty. A recommended APA for sure.
