Pours a nice golden color with a good-sized slightly off-white head. Very nice retention before settling as a thick film and a decent bit of lace.
Smell is malty with sweetish with a note of apple and a hint of hops.
Taste is woody, malty, a note of citrus and a wee hint, nee whiff, of vanilla. Balance is fairly good here though it was well off in the smell. Warming brings out a note of spice, pepper perhaps.
Medium bodied, lighter than expected effervescence. A drying finish after a slightly watery middle. Warming. Sadly, nothing special here. Too bad.

The brew pours a bassy golden hue, and is topped with a moderate-lived white cap of froth. The nose offers some clean lemon-citric notes along with a clean mineral nuance. The taste reveals a bit more of a dry and grainy pale malt, with some earthy herbal notes aside the citric. The feel is lighter than medium, and is very refreshing. I'd have to say its chuggable. Good stuff.
