Pours totally black with a dark brown head that reduces to just a ring in my tulip glass.
Very nice, big aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins, dried fruit and alcohol.
The taste is equally good: Rich roasted malt flavors of chocolate and coffee plus lots of more complex notes.
Great body: It's slick, glassy and creamy -- exactly what I'd expect.
Dirac shows how minor recipe variations make a big difference. I like this beer much more than its brother, Bohr.
Seek this one out: It's another must-have from Cigar City.

Poured from the bottle into a standard pint glass.
Pours black as night with a finger of dark tan head. The head fades quickly to a ring around the pour. The smell is really sweet with lots of raisins. I'm also getting a mild spice note. The taste is also super sweet. Tons of dark fruit, mainly raisins. There is some roast and spice. Reminds me of hunahpu without spices. The body is super thick.

Big 750 ML bottle popped open right after another bloody Big Sound that was infected; second in a row. Dammit Cigar City, you're some talented guys who make some of the best beer in the country, learn to sanitize.
Pours stout black. Nose is extremely sweet malt, nice wood, full dark chocolate. No raisins in evidence. Rich.
Dirac splits from the genre early on, & good for him. Trademark roasted malts of CC appear, but they're cut by a healthy shot of chocolate. Raisins stay in the background & lend a weird bitterness, sticking around in the aftertaste, rising as it warms. I feel like Raisinette was gunned down in my gums. Figgy. Pruney. Touch of spice on the ending. The aftertaste knocks down the drinkability, but I think I can manage my half of the bomber.
Overall, good beer that has some nice moves.

Bottled in 2011.
Appearance: Pours out a black body with a high, deep tan-hued head.
Smell: Fire-cured toasted breadcrusts and roasted grains with an edge of smokiness encapsulating notes of chocolate, raisin, and star anise.
Taste: Sweetish dark, roasty maltiness. Vanilla-flavored simple syrup over the toasted, predominately roasted malts trailing into plump raisins and a light dust of spices. The bitterness present seems more a product of the roasted malts. Warming alcohol throughout. A little Raisinette on the finish with some spice and peppery alcohol lingering into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light carbonation leading to a heavier, near-full mouthfeel.
Overall: You know, it's a good, collaborative stout. Now then, pass the Hunahpu’s!

750ml bottle into a CCB Snifter
Pours a dark, inky black with a mocha head that settles to a thin ring. Aromas of sweet dark malt, chocolate, and raisins. Reminds me of a Raisinet. Taste is similar to the nose, big notes of chocolate, dark roasted malt, raisins, and a touch of soy sauce. Mouthfeel is smooth and fairly creamy, with a full body and good carbonation. A touch boozy. Decent beer overall, but forgettable.
