Short review from a fly at Cigar City.
On tap and referenced as Peach IPA (I figure this is this one as there seems to be no other Peach IPA listed from Cigar City).
Golden orange color with a white creamy head. The nose is fruity with a strange blend of citrus hops and peach. The taste is even more pronounced on the peach side, good but a bit unbalanced. Mouthfeel was good,ok carbonation, medium bodied and refreshing. Interesting but I prefer the regular Jai Alai (if this really was the base beer here).

On tap at Cigar City Tampa FL for 5$
Appearance - Slightly hazy dark gold colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some great lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes.
Smell - Hops, malts, caramel, peaches
Taste & Mouth - There is a below average amount of carbonation and I can taste caramel and malts mixed with some hops. There is also some sweet peach syrup flavour.. the kind of taste you'd find in a can of peaches. It ends with a mild hop aftertaste with some sweet peach flavour.
Overall – I was on the fence with this one at first because all I could taste is peach syrup. But as it warmed up I could taste the Jai IPA coming through. Interesting to try, but I'd rather just have the regular Jai IPA.

Arrives a dark orange color, hazy throughout with a white head. No lacing is left behind.
Smell is note of malt, hops and peach. As expected but nothing beyond that.
Taste is malt with hops and a lighter peach note. None of the notable complexity that CCB beers normally show.
Almost full bodied with a light-medium effervescence. Smooth for an IPA, more like a pale ale in that regard. Drying finish and slightly warming. Not much peach, though.
I like the Jai Alai (and I'm not a fan of IPAs normally) but this one missed the target for me. Strange, considering I rated the on-tap Jai Alai much higher. Subtler flavors like peach and blueberry seem particularly difficult to get correct for most brewers. Or maybe the cask is the issue here? I've only had a few cask beers and haven't been impressed with one yet.

Review from notes taken at Cigar City Brewing taproom on 7/15/12. Poured on draft into a Cigar City shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a medium caramel with orange highlights and a 1 finger foamy white head. Excellent lacing.
Smell: Fresh peaches are dominant with a hint of apricot and a touch of pine. The aroma reminds me of a much better version of Magic Hat #9.
Taste: Peaches everywhere. This one is all about the fresh peaches. I detect a little bit of typical Jai Alai bitterness at the finish. Aftertaste is bittersweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Great drinkability. You could knock back several of these. Very refreshing.
Overall: Very good beer overall. This is a really easy drinking beer despite the 7.5% ABV. The peaches may be off-putting for those looking for a normal IPA, but I really liked it. Give it a shot if you get the chance. I'd love to see this one in bottles.

On tap at Breuklyn Bier Merchants.
Fantasticly pungent, fresh peachy aroma from my glass. Juicy, ripe peaches. Wow, that's incredible.
Hops are at the forefront here, but the peach accents show up strongly to accent the fresh hops. It's like biting into a freshly-picked peach immediately after sipping a top notch single IPA. And for a style I don't normally enjoy, this is great!
I'd happily buy this bottled (fresh only!), and I might even be back tomorrow for another pint. Delicious!

On draft at Churchkey in D.C.
The beer is apricot hued and pretty clear with a quarter inch of white head. A delectable aroma, led by fresh juicy peaches. Pleasant scents of tropical fruit and fresh hops. Delicious beer, with ample peach character throughout. Light bodied and easy drinking, with alcohol hidden quite well. Overall, a great IPA that I really enjoyed.

From tap to taster glass at ChurchKey DC on 6/7/12
*From notes
A: Cloudy, orange-amber in color. A minimal head tops the glass, and minor lacing clings to the walls. Not much of a collar here.
S: Plenty of sweet, fresh peaches, juicy hops and a big league tropical vibe rocks the nostrils.
T: A bit sweet up front, with some really killer peach juice and tropical hops. It begins rounding on the mid, and bitters up with a bit of pine-like hop oil.
M: All of the beers at ChurchKey this evening were a bit lacking in the feel department, this one is no exception. Having said that, this isn't nearly as thin as most, and though it's undercarbonated, it's still well put together.
O: I love peaches. And I love beer. So it'd stand to reason that when the two are "mashed up", I'm a sucker. Lucky for me, this well done IPA does just what I was hoping: showcasing the fruit while packing plenty of the Jai-Alai base. Very well done. I sincerely hope that CCB bottles this, as I'd find someone to ship me a couple of sixers.

Had on tap at Engine 15 in Jacksonville (poured into a pint glass)
A: Straw yellow with no head (or at least none visible to me).
S: Like peaches and hops a little bit of pine. The smell is quite impressive to say the least.
T: Peaches are shy and fade fairly fast, but there is a strong ipa to back it up. hops and pine are evident, its sweater than most ipas.
M: Same as tatse but doesn't really take away from the beer since it's good.
O: A good beer, I'd keep it on hand it I could. Not a top 100 beer, but something that I like that I could drink a lot of it was available. I wouldn't seek it out again but i'd certainly reorder it.

On tap at the cigar city takeover at WOB-coconut creek.
So far i believe this is my favorite variation of jai alai. The peach taste was not over the top, just subtle enough to mellow out with the massive hops of regular jai aiai. I sure wish this would get bottled or be a draft release all year round, i could drink this every day. As with regular jai alai, wonderful fluffy white lacing is left on your glass as you slowly drink this hoppy goodness. The smell of the peach is actually stronger than the taste is, big plus to that as too much peach could have been overwhelming to the taste buds. Going to the florida tap takeover at my WOB-clematis tonite, hope we have this one on tap again!

Poured from tap into a Pint glass.
Color: Light copper with a white head.
Smell: Peach, hops and malts.
Taste: Peach, hops and malts.
Mouthfeel: Great carbonation and slightly dry on the palate.
Overall: Very good. Reminds me of a hoppy peach ice tea. The peach is defintely there but it's not overwhelming. If you love peaches and IPAs you have to try this. Cheers!

Peach in the nose, peach in the middle, peach on the end.
Very well balanced.. Slight citrus hop bite. Smells like a peach snapple. this is a fantastic twist on the classic ipa and kicked in just 15 mintues. I wish they would bottle this.. I would drive to great lengths to drink this again

First beer of my Cigar City Take Over night @ WOB coconut creek, fl (from notes).
A- Draft into shaker pint. hazy amber brown body w/ a finger of yellowish head almost fluffy, with thick lacing down glass.
S- peach and subtle hop aroma with malted body, veryyy peachy.
T- malted back, followed by poeach not too strong and then great hop mild astringency to compliment the sweet peachy flavor. my favorite fruit beer yet!
M- thin without being unsatisfying, enough carbonation to keep it crisp the whole beer.
O- Amazing beer, first experience w/ jai alai and i plan trying more and this great style! good amount of alcohol to be able to put back a couple too.

I had this on tap at the CCB tasting at Cervesas. Fun event!
It poured a clear powerful orange, with thick head, little retention, but nice lacing.
Being particularly sensitive to IPAs, it was the first thing I smelled; hops, hops, floral hops. But then there was a dominant sweet peach aroma, almost malty.
Peaches to the rescue! I like the Jai Alia, but this grabbed the IPA by its horns and said, "whoa there buddy, I'm a peach and I'm gonna play with you!" This was definitely an IPA, but everyone agreed much less aggressive than most. Tasting more like a peach dessert, the new ingredient interacted beautifully with the floral hops.
Mouthfeel: see IPA.
This might be the first IPA to make me say, "I Like IPAs." Done, I said it.

The pour is exquisite: a clear deep orange body is topped with a giant, yellow, ice cream, sheen and massively rocky whipped cream head. Amazing retention and lace. Aroma is really outstanding: fresh juicy peach, cooked peaches in dessert, peach cobbler. Very intense, full, and unmistakable. Taste is bitter, spicy, mild peach, sweet peach cobbler. Palate is soft, bitter, biting, and fairly intense. Oily and bitter rather than dry and astringent.

Poured on tap at the CCB tasting room. Beautiful dark golden orange with a foamy white head that revives with a swirl.
Smells is dominated by peach with subtle hops.
Taste follows suit, a great balance of sweet peach and bitter hops.
Mouthfeel is medium with little carbonation.
I'm not much of an IPA guy, but what a great overall brew.

Had this at Hawthorne's 2nd annual IPA block party. I love drinking in the street in front of cops so i'll be attending every year.
Peach Jai looks like the regular with a hazy mix of deep orange and some light browns with golden specks. It looks like an IPA alright. Not a lot of head, not even a cap, some small sticks.
Well, this certainly smells peachy clean. I mean it really is all im getting in the nose along with a semi big malt base akin to the regular. It smells good alright.
This is a dman fine IPA and the peach addition really shines. It melds well with the little bit of pineapple from the regular and I get a bit of bubblegum as well. Not piney, just fruity and malty.
Feel is a big medium. The build on this screams East Coast and has a sweet finish. Fruity up front, sweet on the end. Carb is kinda lacking and with a boost, great things would come.
I really enjoyed this and I would probably drink a shit ton of it. I hope to score a growler of this during beer week and hope to try the other varieties in the future.

On tap in a plastic cup on the street at hawthorns block party.
A- comes to me with a small finger of light tan head atop a dark burnt orange brew. Almost looks like iced tea when the light hits it right. Head settles in a few but does leave a solid ring around the cup.
S- booom! That smells amazing. Like a fresh peach and crisp fruity and floral hops. Malts are mildly bready and sweet with a touch of caramel. Hints of pine in the background.
T- big bold juicy peaches and ruby red grapefruit. Lots of tropical and citrus fruits in there as well. Malts come off simple yet with enough flavor to keep up. Toasted bread and caramel come to mind. Long fruity hoppy finish.
M- about medium in body with a nice carb that feels just right up against the body. Super tannic and dry.
O- this is a spectacular brew and a great twist on the style. The fruits never over power the base beer and blend together like a champ. I had two of these instead of an elder so take that for what it is.

on tap at the ccb taproom, i had the pleasure of enjoying this one multiple times this week. poured into a pint glass and enjoyed on 4/11/2011.
very nice light pour with a light golden amber and a slight amount of haze to it. a light white head came up to about an inch or so above the glass before settling back down and leaving a goo bit of lacing around the edges of the glass.
aroma is light citrus and loads of fresh peaches and fruit. this really works very, very well i have to say. i was quite impressed with how nicely it pulled off. the light peach notes really seemed to mesh well with the well balanced profile of the jai alai, creating a light, and very sessionable flavor. smooth and clean finish was just what the doctor ordered and overall i could not have enough good things to say about this one.
great beer and a fantastic treatment here. would love to see this bottled.

On draft at Rattle n Hum, NYC.
Poured a medium amber hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and good lacing.
The smell featured balmy, sweet tropical fruit - pineapple, apricot, peach.
The taste consisted of pineapple and a touch of pepper. A pleasant residual sweetness as well.
The mouthfeel was soft and round.
Overall an interesting and tasty IPA. A sure original that surprised me with its drinkability.

on tap at rattle n hum in nyc
Pours a hazed orange, thin white head, sticky lacing around the glass with some filmy retention.
Strong scents of peach juiciness with bitter hops and sticky sweetness. Plenty of pulp and pith with sugar.
Slight bitter hops with peach juice. Fruit sweetness with citrus pulp. Slight malt bill with more fruit juice. Finishes slightly bitter and sweet.
Medium body, mild carbonation, smooth on the tongue. I thought this was pretty decent but overall too sweet and the peach was too strong.

Draft at the 2011 Hunahpu's release.
Pours a bright golden orange color that is hazy and opaque with a two finger frothy, pillowy white head that has good retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring. Streaks, spots and rings of chunky, soapy lacing left behind.
The nose of this beer is bursting with tropical fruit with only slight earthy pine notes. Lots of citrus and tropical fruit, mostly peach but also mango, pineapple and citrus rind.
Medium bodied and bursting with luscious tropical fruit flavor. Tons of peach up front providing more sweetness that lingers throughout. Not very dry with slight bitterness and the sweetness takes away from the hop flavor a bit. Lots of tropical peach, mango and pineapple as well as some orange peel. Pale malt backbone provides nice balance but this beer could use a bit more hop bite/bitterness/dryness. Very refreshing and extremely quaffable but it's a bit one dimensional.

Drinking from a Brandy Snifter...sitting on the couches at The Nova.
Delicious scent of peach aroma from the second the growler was popped. This Ipa has a ripe peach smell and finish. You get a little light hops but the showcase here is the peach. Excellent beer I could drink this all day.

Set up on a trade from Afksports. Thanks Brendan.
Poured into a brandy snifter.
Pours a beautiful amber hue. Smell is so divine. Floral and peach wafting from the glass. It smells so good I want to stick something else in there if you know what I mean. Taste is right on par with the smell. Peach right up front, kapow. Hop is there but not the starring role in this brew. On the backend I pick up some tea flavor.
This is a tatsy beer and should be sought after. Cigar City has proven again they are a force to be reckoned with.

On-tap at the pub, tried next to the papaya. Theu look the same to me, dark peach, not much retention... The aroma is lots of alcohol with a peachy finish... The taste shows off the peach more in the taste, especially compared to the papaya. The finish is so smooth and sweet, great depiction of peach. Shows off peach well but doesn't prove to be a great ipa. An ipa with a with a peach finish, good, nothing special.

Thanks to Superstar North Babylon for hosting a Cigar City tasting and having this available.
a - Through the growler has a nice apple juice look to it (and the jug being shaped that same almost had my pregnant wife cracking it open while looking for the juice!). Poured into a Duvel taster tulip, still fresh so lots of nice carbonation and a bubbly off white head which slowly faded leaving sparse lacing blotches on the glass...settles as a clear orange.
s - Unreal. Peaches...perfectly ripe mouth watering peaches. Touch of grapefruit, but peaches all the way. I could smell this all day.
t - While peaches are featured in the flavor as well, the bitterness is a bit much for me to rave about the taste like the nose. Jai Alai is a really subtle and balanced IPA in my opinion and the peaches seem to have brought out the bitterness. Quite delicious and unique.
m/d - I really wish that this was in bottles and available to me all of the time. The folks at cigar city have proven themselves time and time again with their product, but this beer is in a class of it's own. It is amazing what you can do with a beer and this is ground breaking stuff and something that should be a staple for trying to convert non-craft drinkers. Jaii Alai on it's own is a great beer, most of the variations are excellent twists on the original. I guess when you have a great starting point...? This one has a stronger bitterness, but the peach flavor and smell (WOW, the smell) more than make up for bittery mouth and flavor. It is delicious and easy to drink.
