Received this as a trade gift from digita7693, thanks again Don! My wife and I have been saving this one for a special occasion so we opened it with 6 friends after a Thai dinner outing for her birthday. This was an excellent night cap, and it was enjoyed by all, even a few skeptics.
Appearance is dark expresso brown/black with a full bodied pour and dark frothy chocolate milk colored cap.
Smells of dark malts, bold expresso, chili spice and a nice solid waft of booze.
Taste is complex and impressive, all the ingredients are evident and respectably balanced. Roasty malts, expresso notes, chili spice reminds me of red hots and fine dark chocolate. The abv is evident but works to keep your pace sipping to slowly appreciatte this complex brew.
Mouthfeel is full body as it should be.

2013 vintage...
A: Pours pitch black with a half a finger of dark khaki colored head. The foam settles fairly quickly, leaving only a thin ring of bubbles along the edges of the glass. This beer has serious legs, as it clings and coats the glass. Looks wonderful.
S: The nose is excellent. Sweet vanilla, raisin, chocolate, cinnamon, spice, and mild roast.
T: The taste of this beer follows the nose. It hits the palate sweet and syrupy with malt, raisins, vanilla, and milk chocolate. As it moves to the middle, the cinnamon and peppers make themselves known. The spices dance on the palate adding to the complexity of this brew. The finish is more chocolate and vanilla as the spices fade. Delicious.
M: Full bodied beer. It's sweet and coating, wet and syrupy, and refuses to leave the palate once the beer is gone. Typically I'm not a huge fan of uber-lingering beers, but with a beer this good, it's hard to complain about the lasting flavors.
O: Excellent. I've had this beer a number of times and it never disappoints. The flavors are wonderful, the nose is great, and the mouthfeel is cloying and smooth. I could drink this all day everyday.

750ml bomber from 2013 release; opened up at just a bit above cellar temp at our regular tasting group today, 6.17.2013. Thanks to Raphael for sending this one my way.
Aroma: Incredibly delicious smelling. There's quite a bit of roasty malt backbone to this beer from the get-go; full and full of chocolate and brown sugar- like a chocolate cake. The vanilla and spicy peppers really comes out as it hits room temperature, the pepper more so than the vanilla. I don't get a whole lot of cinnamon at any point here though- it might have been lost in all that chocolate and sugar sweetness. (4.5)
Colour: Pretty typical imperial stout- pours black with a nice mocha coloured 2cm head that dissipates slowly into a fairly thick film, and eventually into nothingness. Nice and viscous beer that's evident on the pour. Not a whole lot of lacing. For the most part, it's a delicious black port-like beer that makes me think, "dessert". (4.25)
Flavour: Same as the nose- straight up nice, thick chocolatey, coffee roast malt. But when the beer warms up over the next few minutes, it becomes a delicious combination of sweet chocolate, bitter coffee, vanilla, chili heat and small hints of spicy cinnamon.. though there isn't a whole lot of cinnamon here either. Incredibly tasty and the flavours come together really well. (4.75)
Mouthfeel: Thick bodied (but on thinner side), viscous and really smooth. The carbonation is just right- a good presence but not too much.. so its not too overwhelming. The aftertaste is mostly the spicy pepper with chocolate bitterness.. leaving a smooth, spicy finish. There is no indication of the 11% ABV. (4.75)
Overall: Delicious beer, at least just as good as Abraxas if not slightly better. It's definitely got that sweet chocolate cake flavour, complemented by the chili peppers. Abraxas was more focused on the other ingredients- cinnamon and spicy peppers. Huna has got a great complexity, with lots of flavours that meld together quite well. I will definitely keep searching for this one in the future. (4.75)

Enjoyed an aged 2011 bottle with some buddies @Black Lab Bistro in Phoenixville, PA (BYOB)
Wow...WOW...WOW !!!
First time trying this wonderful brew from the Cigar City guys.
Looks great, some light carbonation, some lacing, dark motor oil with classic tannish head after pour then a flat black lake, no fizz. Mouthfeel is a little thin, but creamy and complex. Smell had some sweetness of bourbon and after warming a lot of the cinnamon (love it).
Taste is soooo, sooo very complex. Like one very versed taster said "this is the most complex beer in terms of flavors I've ever had!"--he's had 100's of beers.
I am a malt bomb guy. Love stouts and bourbon. This one has all that but the little bit of edge from the chillis and the cinnamon and vanilla beans really move this to a different level. It is truely unique and should be sought out. The high (over $100) price I've seen on some of the beer selling sites (ALWAYS TRY TO TRADE, not just buy) seems justified. It is worth it however you get your hands on it.
2 thumbs way up !

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a snifter. This is the March 9th, 2013 release.
Appearance: Pours a deep, deep abyss-black and leaves about a finger of brilliant dark tan head with some real nice texture which lingers around a while before fading to leave the beer surface black with a brown rim of bubbles. Beautiful stout.
Smell: Chocolate, hot pepper, some light tart cherry, vanilla. A very interesting and mouth-watering combination. Unique smell that I've never experienced until now.
Taste: Chocolate and *pow* hot pepper right up front. Vanilla, roasted malts, plums, a touch of cherry, figs. A delicious combination. The peppers add more to this then I expected, there is a flash of spice, which fades immediately but really makes this one interesting. Plenty of dark chocolate and vanilla in this one as well as some cinnamon. Finishes with a touch of bitter. ABV is masterfully hidden beneath the intricate flavors. Wonderful.
Mouth-feel: Medium carbonation and a medium to heavy, creamy body. The texture matches the flavor profile very well. This one goes down exceptionally smooth.
Overall: A fantastic and unique imperial stout. The chilis and cinnamon make for a very interesting and delicious flavor profile. The chocolate and vanilla also comes out very nicely. The beer's creamy texture really helps keep this one masterful. This is an expertly crafted beer.
