Pretty magnificent, if one could take a fine russian imperial and then mix in the ashes of einstein you would be left with the pure gloriousness that in the huna. Had it at a tasting right after a sour the mouthful was full bodied. the taste of wood and oak runs through out and was amplified by choice of cheese that it was paired with. the carmel raiseny cocoa flavor that followed was fantastic. overall one of the best stouts one can have.

2013 bottle from LiquidDegenerate, thanks so much!
Appearance- The end-all, be-all of imperial stouts as far as appearance goes. As dark as physically possible, viscous with a very dark brown head. Head recedes to a dark ring around the edges of the glass
Smell- Heavy roast, cocoa, and mild vanilla are the most forward for me. A touch of alcohol and some coffee notes are around as well. No real cinnamon presence on the nose, which would have been nice, but overall, it smells great.
Taste- Big, dark cocoa up front that mixes with coffee and a touch of vanilla. Cinnamon is tough to pick up, but it is perceptible. A twinge of pepper heat mixes with sweet alcohol and gives it an intriguing finish.
Mouthfeel- Wonderfully full, rich, and coating. Finishes sweet and sticky.
Overall- Much more drinkable for a huge stout than I was expecting, and it's really enjoyable. Really glad I got to try this.

A - Really thick, really black, nice brown head, and again really thick
S - Smells amazing! Choc, cinn, and especially vanilla. A hint of chilies
T - Best thing I've ever put into my mouth! I got chilies right away along with the incredible chocolate/vanilla. Little bit of cinnamon, not much. Malty and rich. Damn good
M - Creamy, roasty, malty goodness. Slight/perfect heat.
O - So lucky to try this 2011 Huna. Like I said, best thing I've ever drank! Just a perfect beer in my mind. Only thing that might be better is the BB Huna!!! Need one. can't wait for my first Hunahpu Day next year.

Received in trade from cpetrone84, thanks for the opportunity Chris.
Pours a thick solid black color with a decent sized long lasting dark cocoa head. Smells of chocolate and roast up front with lots of anise and dark sugars supporting. Light cinnamon as well as earthy hops provide a bit of balance. Thick chocolate syrup, dark chocolate, licorice, nutmeg and cinnamon flavors come out up front. Lingering chocolate covered pitted fruits, licorice and roast coats the digestive track long after every sip. Thick body with a creamy syrupy mouthfeel and a light level of carbonation. This is a big thick sweet chewy stout, just the way I like them, bring on the diabetes.
