12oz bottle purchased at Bottles in Millwood, WA, for $1.99. No obvious freshness date.
Poured a somewhat hazy golden amber color with a good-sized, creamy off-white head that took it’s time dropping. Lots of lace.
Very hoppy in the nose, with pine and grapefruit scents dominating.
This is one of those IPAs that have a big, citrusy flavor up front. While there are bitter hop flavors, the taste of this beer is very “fruit-forward” to borrow a wine term. There’s also a fairly discernable malt backbone to this.
Medium bodied, with a sticky, oily mouthfeel.
This is one of those semi-sweet, sticky IPAs that are tasty to drink but might be a bit much to have several of. I’m glad I bought a bottle but can’t see myself sessioning it.

Poured from a "stubby" 12oz. bottle with an attractive hummingbird label.
Clear, copper-gold with a moderate head of off-white foam.
Aroma-Faint floral hop note
Taste-Toasted malt, soft floral hops. Nicely balanced but more of a pale ale feel than an IPA. Innofensive and pleasant, would make a good "starter" IPA for those just venturing into the wonderful world of the hophead.

12oz Bottle, no freshness date. Light coppery orange with an off white head that quickly settles down to a fine lace. Slightly hazy. Not much of an aroma. Surprisingly more malty than hoppy at first. Up front there is light hop and some syrupy malt notes. Good solid bitterness at the end that doesn't linger. Mouthfeel has a slight viscosity that seems to go along with the syrupy malty note in the flavor. Overall a solid, easy drinking IPA. Could definitely use a little more hop aroma to really feel like an IPA as you drink it.

Nectar Ales - Nectar IPA (Not sure why it's listed as "IPA Nectar")
Look - Poured into my new Dogfish Head IPA glass (yay). Pours a clear darker reddish amber with a terrific soapy head. Nice sticky lacing.
Smell - Aroma is malty sweet and citrus hops. Mouth-watering.
Taste - Carbonation hits first but not too hard. Smooth malts ride in on the bubbles, quite sweet. Hops come in piney and citrus after.
Mouthfeel - Floral hops rest on the palate, as well as sweet sticky malts. Very drinkable. Honey seems to stick a bit here, which is OK but not a great aspect.
Overall - Unique blend of malts and pungent hops creates a great IPA experience. Would recommend, worth a try. This brew is a bit underrated, but if you really want the wow factor for this kind of style, give Troegs Nugget Nectar a try. I prefer to call this style an amber DIPA.
