Pours an oak color with a nice cascading that forms to a nice, soapy-looking 1-finger-thick head that sustains well. Hazy appearance.
Biscuits hit my nose, as well as a brown maltiness. Maybe some slight nutmeg, but pretty plain.
English hops hit my palate as well as a creamy, roasted toffee. Not much spice as I expected, and not as sweet as expected. More bitter, and honestly, a bit thin in flavor.
Minimal carbonation, fairly thin body.
Drinkability suffers due to lack of flavor. This definitely reminds me of an english ale, but almost to a fault for a scottish. I expect a bit more sweetness from scotty's and this one just doesn't deliver.

Deep amber ; slightly cloudy , with a small head.
Smell is mild and doughy.
Biscuity, steely, slightly sweet malt...mild spiced tea flavor. Hops kick in late.. a little astringent. Hint of phenol at the finish.
Flavors improve as they warm a bit and meld together well.
Light to medium body and carbonation.
Not bad. Worth a try for sure, but I prefer their regular beers.

L: Pours a nice amber-brown color with a virtually non-existent head. Very little lacing, if any, down the glass.
S: Smelled very mild, a bit of caramel malt, some other darker malts, but that was it.
T: Very bland. Hints of caramel malt, but that's really all there is.
M: Very watery feeling, perhaps some more carbonation needed.
D: Not very. It needs more flavor, and a tad more carbonation.

22oz bomber poured into a tulip pint
Pours a russet brown with a little bit of murkiness. A frothy, tan head rose a good two fingers and settled down quickly.
Slightly roasted malts with a clean, floral hop aroma. A slight bit of winter spices are hidden in there.
Very clean beer. Roasted malts, a bit of cocoa powder, floral hops and some cinnamon. Finishes very clean and crisp.
A little thin on the body with mild carbonation. I would like to see this beer a little heartier for a winter release.
Low abv and a very clean beer with no off-flavors, very drinkable.
