I stopped in here after eating at the great Greek Stop a couple doors down. Nice well kept selection, this guy knows his beers. Jim was helpful and offered to order anything not currently available. I don't make it out this way very often, but the greek food was top notch. I will find an excuse to make it back out there, and grab a case. Clean well organized store, cooler although small hadn most of the variety stocked he had on the floor so I give him credit. I wasn't expecting a beer mecca here but they had Nugget Nectar, Smuttynose Finest Kind IPA, and a nice variety of micros/imports/and mainstream stuff.

I remember about a year ago when this establishment first opened for some reason I just never consider it when a beer run was required. Maybe it was because it appears to be small, and located in an area I can only assume is going to overprice everything. Well finally about a week ago I stopped in, it is small unfortunately but that is my only complaint! And concerning the latter issue I was way wrong, very reasonably priced!

Sad to say they were out of Old Chub, but as I was informed just recently out and it's one of their usuals. I meandered around for some time just exploring. I was amazed at the selection for being such a small place, from macros to the major micros (like DFH, Troegs, Victory, Longtrail, etc - well major for the area) and a nice selection of Belgiums and German beers as well. and of course they had a fair selection of seasonals as well. They're all listed on the website which is also nice, as you can special order right from the site without ever leaving your couch! It might be worth the trip over though as the one guy working there was very friendly and made a great suggestion on what to try. He was also more than willing to speacial order anything and if he didn't know of it he said he would investigate. Also he said if I ever wanted to get something just call ahead of time and he'll pop it in he fridge for me! Nice, Friendly, down to Earth kind of place! Back to my one complaint however, I wish the selection was a little bigger, and that they did six packs as well. But I could only assume with a place that size it'd be hard to do six packs and maintain the same quality and organization currently upheld.

They also do events, for a current list check their site. But for example they're doing two tastings this month, Victory and Saranac.

All in all great place, fair prices, and exceptional service. And as a side note, under every beer was the BA self talker, and one from ratebeer.com as well. I liked that!

Beer distributor in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. They have monthly craft beer tastings and Monday craft beer discounts. Jim the owner will place special orders so if you do not see it just ask for it. If it is sold in Pennsylvania JIm can get it for you. The only distributor where I spend my money. Voted Trib Total Media 2008 Reader's Choice Awards GOLD for Best Beer Distributor. They also carry ice, snacks and have a humidor. You can play the lottery while you pick up your case or keg for the weekend.
