My local in-person trader, tone77, recently dropped off a huge box o' beer and this is another of that batch.

My pour netted a finger of fizzy, tawny head with only moderate retention. Color was a slightly hazy orangish-amber. Nose had a pleasant smell of cinnamon, clove and allspice. Mouthfeel was full, not quite creamy, but getting there. The taste was very pumpkin spicy and when I closed my eyes, I could definitely envision a slice of pumpkin pie. Finish was semi-dry with the spices really doing their thing, but enough malt left to keep it from being like alum. I remember not being overly impressed with this one back in the Fall, but now, on the eve of Spring, it tasted pretty good.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of spices, pumpkin. Taste is the same, a bit of pumpkin, some nutmeg and cinnamon. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this is a pretty good pumpkin beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into SA Perfect Pint glass
A- Pours a thin, maybe .5 finger head, that completely dissipates except for ring on outside, light hazy amber in color, no lacing, barely existent carbonation
S- Mostly pumpkin pie spice, whats there isn't too bad
T- Light pumpkin pie flavor, pie spices, some sweetness I want to say gingerbread but not too much, lingers a little in the mouth
M- Pretty thin and crisp on the tongue, more carbonation than I thought from looking at it
O- There are many pumpkin ales out there that are much better, but it is one of the better Horny Goat offerings in my opinion. Looking for a light easy-drinking pumpkin beer then try this one

12 oz bottle poured into a Horny Goat pint glass.

Appearance- Hazy light orange in color with very little head that completely dissipates.

Smell- All the pumpkin pie scents. Clove, all spice, bready crust, and pumpkin.

Taste- Follows the nose exactly with some smoke thrown in.

Mouthfeel- A heavier mouth feel that gives me the sensation of eating pumpkin pie.

Overall- Spot on for a slightly over done pumpkin pie flavor. The little smoke reminds me of a burnt pie crust which i kind of dig as an extra layer of flavor.

A -- A subdued brozen / amber ale pours to a good two finger head, leaving ringed lacing.

S -- Heavy spice -- clove, cinnamon, nutmeg. Soft earthiness toward the end.

T -- Good malt body to carry the spice level, defintiely picking up on the pumpkin spices but not so much on the pumpkin. Solid spice level, not overpowering but definitely present.

M -- Mid - heavy body with solid carbonation, which results in a bit more drying and resinous characteristics.

D -- Good -- in balance and spiced appropriately while also possessing enough bittering qualities to subue the heady malt characteristics. Nice brew.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a large snifter glass.

A: Pours a copper-orange hue with a thin white head that quickly dissipates into a wispy lace.

S: Smooth pumpkin and all-spice aroma with hints of nut-meg and coriander.

T: Pumpkin flavor followed by the nutmeg, coriander, cinnamon, and all-spice. More sweet than bitter and finishes slightly dry.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: Decent pumpkin beer – not in the league of PumKing – but worth a try.

Appearance: Pretty color. A lot for golden than other pumpkin ales, as opposed to orange-brown. Good foam and lacing. Rather thick as well. Looks a bit like pumpkin puree itself.

Smell: Cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. All your standard pumpkin spices. Roasted pie crust malt also in there.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Strong spice flavors. Crisp mouthfeel. Full-bodied. I definitely enjoy this!

Overall Drinkability: A very good pumpkin ale.
