My first visit to East Atlanta, after having lived here for over a year...it's about time.
I'd heard this place had Black Biscuit on tap a couple weeks ago, so I figured, "How bad could it be?" Sat down outside on a Sunday, the inside being packed with Falcons fans. Patio is open to sun beating down and road, not a great beer drinking scene, but not terrible.
The beer was served in unmarked, but appropriate(ish) glassware at appropriate temperature. The beer was fresh, and the selection was good, but not as good as BSP or Porter. However, there is plenty of beer here for most any beer geek.
The menu had a good amount of options that looked appetizing and the burger I had was very good. It is bar food, but good bar food.
I'd come back here again - I'm not sure I'd want to go out of my way to come here, but they had a good selection of beers and had some very interesting tap selections.

Went here for lunch the other day.
Atmosphere is good. It's got loads of outdoor seating which would be a lot nicer if the temperature had been above 50 deg at all the last few weeks. Inside there are arcade games to the left and a bar with a few TV's to the right. High ceilings and a lot of wood are also part of the atmosphere. The beers are listed on chalkboards - be sure to look to the right of the bar for new arrivals.
Quality is good. I was served my beer in glassware from another brewery however it wasn't inappropriate glassware and it was served with the proper amount of head.
Service is good. I didn't wait long to order drinks or food, which was surprising considering there was only one person working the entire place.
Selection is solid. They definitely have a good deal of locals - Sweetwater IPA, 420, and Happy Ending along with Terrapin Rye Squared, Hopsecutioner, and Rye Pale. Also on-tap were a few imports - St. Bernardus Abt. 12, La Trappe Isidor, and others, along with some micro mainstays - Brooklyn, Victory, Dogfish Head, Rogue, and others.
Food was very good. I had a burger made with beef and smoked pork that was better than anticipated.
Value is good - the food is right on par with most other places however a few of the more special beers on-tap were on the expensive side (my Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast was $7.50 and Isidor was $8 and some change I believe). Still, nothing over the top.
Overall this was a solid place and I anticipate stopping by a few more times before too long. Worth a stop.

New pub in the East Atlanta Village, just south of I-20 off of Glenwood Avenue. Midway is right across from the new EA Ice House music club. Cool brick building, with a killer outside patio. Interior is all brick, really snappy looking. Bar is long with mirrors behind it. Flat screens above the bar had on soccer when I visited last weekend.
Beer menu looked better than average. Some draft highlights- Piraat, Terrapin Wake, Sweetwater Happy, St. Bernie Abt 12, Dogfish 90. I ordered an Aventinus ($8/.5cl)and asked the server if it came in an Aventinus glass. The beer came to the table 3/4 filled in a smallish Saison Dupont glass, with no head whatsoever. My friends Sweetwater Blue arrived with bottle in an empty pint glass.
This seems to be standard among the new "beer bars" in Atlanta: Very poor beer serving knowledge.
Food was better than average. My mahi sandwich was very good, topped with goat cheese and pineapple. The veggie corn dogs were good too, with a side of honey dijon mustard.
There were some smokers on the patio, but it didn't bother my sinuses too bad. I'd imagine that it gets pretty heavy inside at night though...

This is a spacious pub nestled into East Atlanta, a place similar to Little Five Points. This place has lots of wood accented by concrete and steel garage doors. Overall a nice feel to the place. It has plenty of seating at the bar and a line of plugs within the seating section for the folk that need laptops and Wi-Fi. Nice jukebox, some flat screen TVs, and tattoo inspired artwork. They have about 20 or so taps but have 80+ beers in bottle. The selection is craft beer heavy. Offerings include Belgian, German, English, and American craft beers both on tap and in the bottle. The girlfriend and I split a 750 ml Grotten Brown (Pierre Celis Signature) and I followed it up with a Lakefront Brewery Eastside Dark. We did not try the food this time but the menu looked good. This place is definitely worth a stop, good selection and a nice feel to the place. There are a few more places in East Atlanta I want to check out as well, all within walking distance. If you're looking for an area of town that has character, this is a good bet.
