Dateless bottle poured into a Pilsner glass. Golden color with a finger or two of white foam after a gentle pour. The smell is almost entirely malt, mostly biscuits with a hint of the lager fermented smell peaking through as well.

Taste is somewhat sweet with the bready malts taking the forefront. It finishes somewhat dry with a hint of floral hops. The style of the hops aren't really detectable nor are the malts.

It has a very pleasant medium body with a decent level of carbonation. Feels quite good and I finished the single bottle I had from the mixed 6-pack easily.

I was told by St. George that this is a "pre-prohibition lager" and when I asked them to elaborate they said that it had hops in it. OK.

Poured into a wine glass. Beer is yellow and mostly clear with a slight haze, decent head, some lacing, bad retention, low carbonation, looks like a beer sure enough.

Beer smells sweet with a little grain and some earthiness from some hops. Perhaps noble hops.

Beer is medium to light in body with a decent finish. Not too dry, the hop flavor is definitely there but subtle, the finish is also slightly bitter from hops. The forward is pleasing and mildly sweet, I like the beer overall. I'd even have it again.

Second bottle from the Dragon Pack pours a hazy golden body with a one finger white head. The head quickly falls with minimal patchy lace. Aroma has fresh barley, floral and grassy hops, a hint of green apple, and some toasted grain. Light medium body is well carbonated. Taste has some sweetish grainy malt with a balancing floral and grassy hop bitterness. Finishes clean, but has a slight corn syrup aftertaste. Easy drinking lager.

Served on-tap in a clear nonic pint at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Glowing amber-gold with foamy 1-finger off-white head with good retention and nice lacing mainly at the top of the glass.

S: Fresh grassy hops and toasted malt aromas greet which leaves a spicy biscuity impression.

T: Excellent biscuity, crackery malt flavor with grassy, noble hops flavor bursting through.
Lots of toasted Munich malt flavor rounds out a very refreshing flavor -- this pint went down very enjoyable and easily.

M: Exceptional light-medium body for the style with even, active carbonation to leave a generous, mouth-filling quality which is top-tier. The aftertaste is noble hops and more toasted maltiness.

D: A top-notch lager which really hits the spot on this 100 degree day. There's nothing better than a locally made, fresh lager with excellent feel and superb biscuity malt and grassy hoppiness in one package.

Served in a Budweiser pokal.

The Dragon Pack is almost complete. This offering pours a clear pale golden straw topped by about a half-finger of white micro-foam. The nose is quite faint, nearly nonexistent to me, comprising light coriander, wheat, and slight hoppy florals. The taste holds notes of floral bitters, very light orange peel, and a blunt wheatiness. The body is fairly light, with a light carbonation and a crisp finish. Overall, a decent light lager, refreshing enough to be one of those go-to local summer brews.

Pours a lightish yellow reminiscent of some Mexican macro-lagers - slightly more copper-toned than those, with more cloudiness as well. About an inch of foam, which settles down to maybe a quarter inch. The hops in the scent also remind me of a Corona or a Sol (that's not an insult from me, btw.)

Taste is clearly more full-bodied and more bitter than the Mexican beers I've compared it to so far. Hops are the core of its flavor. It's a good bitter, but it hits a little too hard at the back of the tongue for me - drinkability suffers to an extent.

This is a decent beer, but probably not one I'd pick. Compared to Esser's Best, the other beer of the style I've tried, this one is clearly more potent, but I don't really like my lagers potent. Your call.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and decent lacing.

The smell featured a light sweet malt and a subtle hop spice.

The taste consisted of a grainy malt with a distinct noble spice.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style and clean.

Overall a tasty and highly drinkable lager.

Thanks to chaz over on realbeer for this. Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into my nonic Imperial pint glass. The lager appears a hazed amber color with about an inch of pillowy eggshell foam. Aroma and flavor are of lightly toasted grains, earthy, bitter hops, sweet malt, bread. Smooth bodied with ample carbonation for the style. Quite quaff able.

A: A little bit of a disappointment in the pour. A pale golden, with a rather fizzly head - I could almost confuse this with ginger ale or something.

S + T: Fortunately, it redeems itself with both the scent and flavour. A nice, clean and toasted malt with a touch of hop flavour and aroma adding good character to it. Very nice balance between the two.

M + D: Crisp, clean, and refreshing... just as I would hope it to be. Drinks easily. I'd gladly go about trying it again in the event I merely gave it a bad pour for appearance.

I got this from a variety 6 pack at farm fresh. I was looking forward to trying this lager but I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what because this was one of the worst lagers I have ever tasted. The appearance of this was nice but the taste was just off. Just a bitter metalic taste from the beginning to the end. I loved the st george's porter but this lager was just a big disappointment,

Pours a vibrant yellow with small fluffy head and good carbonation. The aroma is clean and pilsner like. The flavor is grainy, slightly lemony and refreshing with a thin, unobtrusive mouthfeel. A good refreshing drinkable lager, tastes more like a Pilsner than anything else.

A golden/straw colored body with a slight white head.

Smells of pale malts with some floral/herbal nop notes in there.

A nice lager yeast/malt combo with some sweetness in the middle. Good hop balance. Good lager in general. A crisp smooth mouthfeel.

Very drinkable brew. Crisp, smooth and tasty.

Dark brown 12oz glass bottle. Pry off cap and a green label.
Transparent copper body with low carbonation. Slightly off-white creamy head with good retention and lace.
Scent of light bread and golden grain.
The flavor is a light and pleasantly bready, vegetable, grain mix. Lots of sweet malts with a nutty element and an aftertaste of sweet hoppy goodness. Very well balanced.
Crisp and full body with good coating. After the initial mouthfeel a reluctant dry finish makes itself known.
Highly drinkable lager. I'll remember this one for those hot summer afternoons after mowing the lawn.

This was a very nice lager. It had a citrus aroma.

The taste was mildly sweet with the citrus notes coming through for a nice blend.

This brew was very crisp with medium carbonation.

This finish was clean with no perceived bitterness. Overall, this was an extremely drinkable and refreshing lager of which I could easily make this sessionable.

Poured a alightly hazy golden color with moderate white puffy head. No lacing.
Smell is light fruity.
Taste is a bit sweet, mainly of fruit, with a profound bitter finish.
Leaves a nice refreshing taste in the mouth, and the dryness at the end beckons for another taste.
Easy drinking. Would be a nice summer beer.
