I was worried when we drove up to this store. From the outside it looks like a standard convenience store but once you get inside you see a very impressive selection of beer. They have all the standards as well as a great selection of macros and imports. For the most part everything is cold minus a few out of the cooler brews. I will return to this place for sure. I loved the small store feel it provided while maintaining a great selection of beer. The employees were very helpful as well, any questions you had were very easily answered. It's also nice you can buy numerous other things while you're there.

This store has one of the better beer selections in Columbus. I have tried a ton of new beer through them, and they can even request a beer if you know what you are looking for. Their snacks section is solid if you need some munchies. They also frequently have fancy beer mugs, glasses and shot glasses for really cheap. I got a Jim Beam engraved glass for a dollar and one of my coolest shot glasses for $1.50

As many of the reviewers said, you wouldn't know it from the looks, but an excellent selection and variety of beer. Went here on Beer Advocate's recommendation as an out-of-town visitor to get some other regional microbrews and was pleasantly surprised. The employee helped me walk through many recommendations and spent the time to answer all of my questions. Staff very helpful and knowledgable also. Great choice in Columbus. Our last few beer tasting nights have been much more enjoyable thanks to the Kenny Road Market.

I really enjoyed coming here. I'm new to the Columbus area and from the Kenny Road Market image I was actually a little nervous as it looked like it might be in a "ghetto" part of town. I was pleasantly surprised to find it in a nice neighborhood and not run down at all.
I'm relatively new to the craft beer world (6 months and going or so) so, to me, the selection was extensive. I've been making my way through Rogue stuff and they had a few things I hadn't seen anywhere else. James, the store clerk, is amazing. He knows his stuff inside and out and likes to chat. Don't pop in here if you're in a hurry as he is really knowledgeable and turned me on to quite a few things I have never heard of.
Having been to just about every store on the Beer Advocate list, I'd have to say that this and Andersons are my two favorites. Since I'm still refining my tastes and finding out what I do and don't like, I like having the ability to mix sixes and grab bombers. Kenny Road Market had probably the largest selection of bombers I've ever seen.
Definitely worth checking out!

Small, easily looked over shop. Houses a U-haul rental store.
A small carryout stores that has its share of lottery junkies, bmc seekers, 11am alcoholics, beer geeks and everything in between. Usually my weekly stoppimg spot as its between my office and our main patient office.
A very nice selection of american beers with a cooler or two of brews from across the pond. The main focus is on american beers. Hoppin frog, avery, anderson valley, southern tier, bells, founders, sam adams, GI, Alesmith, Stillwater, Great Lakes, Dark Horse, Rogue, Sierra Nevada and Stone are some of the more commons you'll see here. One of the wider selections in town.
The service is pretty nondescript. Its rare i get somene to come back and ask if i need anythign, but most of the guys recognize me, so im ok with that. If you could get someone to help you without going to the counter, a few of the guys are into beer and a few know enough to get by.
Overall, a nice little spot to sto by if you're in the area.

Never judge a book by its cover. Although Kenny Road Market is an older store and looks a little run-down, it's alive and well on the inside. I always used to pass this place on my way down to Ohio State for classes to get various sodas and snacks that no other places carried (which still holds true today). I never took the time to notice their beer selection since I wasn't of legal drinking age until a couple years ago. I decided to give it a visit today since it had been a while and I needed to stock up.
Walking in, it's just like a larger-than-normal convenience store. I spotted some beer toward the back of the store and ta-da! The back 50% of the store is loaded with beer. The selection is better than what I had expected. They had nearly all of the new releases from the local/Great Lakes region breweries, plus the best selection of Bell's I have seen on the northwest side. They also have a large selection of bombers, probably equal in quantity to Anderson's but better in selection. Walking to the back-left of the cooler, there are some more 4's and 6'ers of American micros and then it goes into a pretty solid selection of Euro and Non-Euro imports; especially British, German and Belgian beers. Walking to the back-right, there's plenty of American macro if you're into that stuff. There's more non-refrigerated beer on the end-caps of where the wine (decent selection) and snacks are -- mostly seasonal 6'ers. They do have some discounted beer that is nearing or a little over the "best by" date, it's good if you're cash-strapped. Contrary to other reviews, the stuff I got from the coolers was brand new and the guy had no quips about brown-bagging my bombers.
The thing that really sets this place apart from other stores in the area is the customer service. The guy running the store and unloading the beer is the most outgoing clerk I've ever met. Very chatty but in a good way and LOVES to talk about different beers. If there's something new/rare, he'll point you right to it. If there's something you can't find, he'll bend over backwards to try and order it for you. The store was actually doing decent business for 1pm on a Friday and he was checking up on everybody even though he was all by himself.
All in all, I will be going back to Kenny Road Market. The prices are between cheap and reasonable, actually a buck or two lower than Anderson's or Ale Wine & Spirits on the bombers. It may not be the largest selection in Columbus or the Northwest side but it's worth driving an extra 5-10 minutes past Anderson's to support a local mom & pop with great service. And yes, they do rent U-Hauls.

Kenny Road Market was pretty easy to find right on, you guessed it, Kenny Road. The store front looked more gas-station than beer store, but inside awaited some pretty nice goodies. This wasnt exactly the best selection in town, but it was pretty sweet. I saw Elevator and Columbus Brewing as far as locals. Also saw Alesmith and Great Divide as well as many others. It seemed as though the majority of the selection were in sixers in the refrigerators, but they had a nice selection both warm and cold. I prefer Palmers or Pace-Hi, but this place had great service. The guy working was enthusiastic about beer and very willing to help.
