The place is a bit crowded, but seeing as the shelves are teeming with beer and wine, I guess I can't complain.
The Perfect pour carries a variety of American craft brews, including some nice limited releases, like Brooklyn Black Ops and Goose Island Bourbon County Rare Stout. I'll refer back to this later.
I was asked several times by a few different employees if I needed any help. I appreciate the willingness to offer assistance. That being said, I overheard an employee giving a customer false information about beers and breweries on two occasions during my brief visit. I know you're trying to help, but check yo self before you wreck yo self.
$40 Black Ops (used to be $50, maybe they felt awkward after all the negative press) and Bourbon County Rare for nearly $100. I believe Fou' Foune was $65. Life and Limb was $30. How 'bout no. I don't think so. Homey don't play dat. This falls into the customer service category, in my opinion. That is NOT beer advocacy, NOT cool.
Worth a stop if you're in the area, though State Line Liquors is a much better choice.

when it comes tothe best selection in MD where else you gonna go ? PP always has the latest new releases as well as the staples that you need. While i often find fresher IPA's elsewhere, noone can touch their overall selection. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly although the prices are very high. New growler section is second to none from Baltimore to philly and they will exchange any old growler for a new PP one.

The Perfect Pour is a love/hate bottle shop if there ever was one. The selection is unmatched for the area. They have nearly any beer you can think of that is distributed to the area. Craft, imports, limited beers, they have it all. The staff is also pretty knowledgable and usually pretty prominent. I was looking for about 10 minutes and was asked several times if I needed any help. The only drawback for me (and others) is the high price points. The majority of beers are at least 20% more expensive than other shops in the area. There have been some mentions of new ownership, but I didn't see much of a price change. Again, if you are looking for a specific beer and don't care about the cost, this place is a good bet to carry it. The guy I was with bought a case of Yards Brawler and was given a free Yards glass, which I thought was a nice gesture. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

They have an exellent selection but the prices are insanely high. 6-pack are 1-2bucks above average. bombers are 30 to 100% above normal prices. They will most likely have what you are lookin for but you will PAY for it. I do not know if I will ever go back but for now I will avoid this place till they have more fair prices

I originally came here for the cider (they do have the best cider selection in MD). Once, I got into beer it was convenient that they have one of the best selections in all of MD, but they were also close to UMBC.
It is very well-lit and the layout is well-planned, but it can get pretty cramped after a delivery day and they rearranged stuff the first few times I went, but now it seems very stable.
They have specific people for wine, spirits, and beer, but there is usually at least one for each on duty. Some are nicer with customers than others. Two of the beer guys are really nice and make great recommendations.
PP has probably the best selection in the area, but this must be taken with a grain of salt. They are notorious in MD for their price gouging, and I have recently come to realize this. I was going to get my first mix six there and it came to about $35, to which I declined (these were just average beers). So, I found out about Honeygo and got an arguably better/more expensive mix six plus a DFH 750ml for the same price. They are also pretty good with freshness, but their Mikkeller's are pretty old. Also, their singles/bombers pricing is horrible. They do sell jeroboams and the incredibly rare stuff though.
Also, they have a member's card but it is only for the very rare specials, but they are usually only a dollar and after something has gone old, but sometimes it is steal. They also only refrigerate packs of stuff and usually only stuff that sells quickly (BMC).
