I found myself in Casper, WY for work and didn't really expect much in the way of finding good beer coming out here.
But, Poplar Wine & Spirits really impressed me with their small, but very decent selection of bombers. (The Abyss, Mirror Mirror, Alaskan Smoked Porter, La Folie, Odell India, SA Triple Bock, etc). They pretty much exclusively carry big beers in terms of craft bombers which was nice imo...
Their six pack selection was very respectable as well(although I think the other decent store in town has a better 6 pack selection). Over-all I am very satisfied with this find and will return.
Big thanks to the original reviewer of this store because otherwise I would have never found it.

I've been going to Poplar Wine & Spirits here in Casper for a long long time.
I've become a good friend and experimental drinker for Mike, the owner
He's the only Beer Guy in town that really puts in an effort to bring in some brews that you just wouldn't expect to show up in Casper.
Thanks to Mike, I've had the pleasure of drinking New Belgium La Folie(still stocked), Deschutes The Abyss/Hop Henge/Anniversary Wit, all of the Grand Teton Cellar Reserve brews to date, Odell's bigger brews including the recently released Woodcut #1(he got 4 bottles total but who would have that he got any), Samuel Adams Utopia, and others that escape my memory at the moment.
And..let me put this into proper perspective. Beer distribution to this sparcely populated state, and Casper in particular since that's what applies to me, would make people who live in beer nirvanas quake in their shoes at the limited offerings we have to choose from. We don't even get many of the big boys from Colorado. 1 state over! But....Mike is the guy who tries his hardest to bring new stuff in and for that, I salute him.
