Visited this place when I was intown for a wedding. Beautiful English style pub with an all wood wrap around bar. They serve somw fine Scotch and Whisky. Their beer selection isn't the best, but their own brews are dead on style. I ate there for lunch and dinner, both were out this world. Look up their menu and eat anything because it's good. For the atmosphere and quality I thought the prices were right in line and their daily pint specials can't be beat, $2.50/pint for their house brews. I will be back when I'm in town.

Not a lot to add to previous reviews. I would like to visit this little "pub" some evening when they feature live music. Comfortable atmosphere with an English theme and lots of hardwood. Decent drafts on tap that are contract brewed. Food is very good but can be somewhat high priced. Look for daily specials which are a good value. The place is clean and wellkempt and the service was efficient on the snowy afternoon I visited. Limited selection of bottles available that are mostly English and Irish. A nice place for a meal if you're in this historic district.

Easy to find location directly off South Central Street in Old Town District. Building is clean and orderly and patio seating in the back. Bar in the center and seating for food on the walls around building. Bar has taps in the middle with coolers under bar with bottles. Staff is freindly with good beer knowledge. Menu is English pub food and my freind had the Fish & Chips selection. Good location to smoke cigars, beer selection and food.
Well worth the stop in the Old Town District and I will go again when in town.

Opened back in January by some British expatriots, The Crown & Goose brings the flair and flavor of the Queen's England to Knoxville. A self-proclaimed "gastropub", C & G features a limited menu full of English pub favorites: fish 'n chips, lamb, shepherd's pie, etc.
A: All decked out in hardwood floor to ceiling with brass accents. Nice and classy interior but not overly so. The best part is the beer garden which wraps around the side of the building. Umbrellaed picnic and black wire tables provide ample seating to enjoy the weather and a pint.
Q: I only say this: I've been to the other Knoxville establishments that brew their own, but forget all those C & G is where it's it.
Three Signature brews: Directors Bitter, London IPA, and Royal Stout. I only drink the stout because it's just too damn good I haven't found the motivation to try any others. Deliciously smooth and creamy off a nitrogen tap (the cascading bubbles are a thing of beauty), the stout is medium-heavy in body without being overwhelming. Well balanced hops and toasted malts with a slight bitter finish.
S: Inside at the bar - fantastic. Outside - a little slower because more tables and smaller wait staff
S: Guiness and Boddington's on tap ... expected to find some Samuel Smith being an English pub, but no dice.
F: Limited menu and slightly overpriced IMO. Fish and chips dinner was solid though. The beer makes up for everything though.
