This is a normal place for me to eat and drink, so I know it well. The atmosphere is always hopping, it is a restaurant, not a bar. However, it has the hopping vibe that a bar has, very fun. Pretty damn good beer selection for being a restaurant, all are refrigerated. They have a few beers on tap, nothing special here. The service is hit and miss, everyone is always very nice, but sometimes food takes a while and it's not always communicated well. The food is amazing though, the french fries are one of a kind. Price isn't bad either, you can get a complete dinner for under ten bucks, and the beer isn't outrageously priced either.

My one visit into the former Lincoln Street Market, I bellied up to one of the three stools to order one of the local beers. The bartender/waitress continued to clear tables and ignore me, which I found peculiar since no one was waiting to sit down. After waiting five minutes to get her attention, I hightailed my way back to The Bier Stein. While it apparently has pretty good food and a fair selection of brews, the service, if it could be called that, was abysmal compared to all other Eugene establishments. I won't be back again.

Unfortunely this place is next to nowhere.
That is my main gripe about this place but then again it is the neighbor deli/resturaunt/pub. Parking is another issue but there is usually a spot open.
Cornucopia is much like Beer Stein in the sense that it is a beer bar where you can select bottles from the cooler and have them here or to go. They have about a 1/3 the selection as the stein but they have tap selections I saw nowhere else in town. They had Ninkasi Believer, Willamette Amber and Coffee Stout there was also Hop stoopid and some others I can't remember right now.
The bar consists of three stools - no joke. There are some pub tables about 3 and some bigger tables for bigger groups inside.
There is also a deli to the right as you enter I didn't get anything from there so who knows?
Outside the beer garden complete with hop vines is a great place to sit and relax with a pint.
The service here is pretty good and the crew are upbeat and friendly.
