Once teeming with rattlesnakes, the Potosi Valley was known as snake hollow. The name lives on in our West Coast Style IPA. Medium bodied and generously dry-hopped, this beer boasts a bold citrus hop character, notes of grapefruit and a clean bitter finish.

12oz can into a pint glass.
L: Pours a smooth & lightly clouded amber gold color w/a 1" rocky off white head, good retention, good fine carbonation, medium lacing & banding.
S: Very light pineapple, grapefruit, "spicy" hops, fruit cake, over ripe citrus, BIG caramelized malts.
T: Very lightly dank, juicy, over ripe citrus, light citrus rind, pine resin, grapefruit, berries. Malt up front, hops in the back. It is quite fruity and resinous.
F: Standard IPA bite, smooth and soft medium bodied mouthfeel w/a rich & twangy mid-drink that moves directly to a long resinous finish. It is not overly drying.
O: An excellent American West Coast IPA with an elegant hand-made taste and feel that only comes with high quality brewing. Very well balanced and extremely tasty. It is redolent of ales from Maine Beer Co. It is outstanding in it's style.

I think its a fairly simple and straightforward IPA. Its relatively easy to drink and would be the perfect beer to introduce as a first time IPA to someone.

I got a bottle of this beer off the single shelf at a beer store in Prairie du Chien, WI on my way to Toppling in Decorah. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bitter hop and pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle pine resin presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Picked this up in Wisconsin Summer 2017. Haven't been impressed with about any ipa from Wisconsin, especially Potosi, but hey it was in the single rack at Airport Liquors in Milwaukee, let's tick. Was the brown label, unlike the green one.
Pours dark amber/copper, you could say brown even. 1/3" off white head. Aroma was maltiness. Light caramel and citrus rind kind of aroma. Inspiration be not thy name.
Taste was one of those lick a tree with needles kind of experiences, but first, drizzle a bunch of heavy, unsweetened caramel and toffee on it. Throw in some unsweetened tea. Its a big no for me dawg. I think I recall having their orange ipa or something along those lines, it was also pretty average/below average. This is like Icky out here in Nevada, super malty, not really much in the way of hop flavor outside of that sticky tree note.
Usually Wisconsin beers (ranked #4 on my list of most consumed states, even higher than my home state of Nevada) are underrated here, but this one, oh no, this is gonna be double digit downward deviation I feels it.

I recently had this IPA on a boat in the Mississippi in a very relaxed dinner setting.
Look: hazy golden with an inch thick white head
Aroma: bread, citrus, floral pine
Taste: Toasted bread, grapefruit, orange, ending in a dry bitterness of pine resin.
Body/Overall: Light to medium body, medium bitterness, IBU 65, I think it is pretty good.
