Finally something new from New English. A long, long, pour from the nitro tap to get a full pint. Reminds me of the fuss made over the Guinness tap in some places. Lovely creamy head after it settles down. Nearly black in color.

Warm and hoppy but not much aroma. A long dark trip among the roasted barley and blackened malt. Tastes like what you'd imagine Guinness ought to taste like. Deep and dark with enough substantial maltiness that I wouldn't really call it dry. A great quaff and tastes stronger than the modest ABV.

One of the better stouts I've had lately, and by far the best brew from New English, a SD County brewery I've expected to disappear by now. On tap at California Kebab in Pacific Beach. Served in a tall nonic.
