Despite the small size they carry pretty much anything a home brewer would be looking for. Organization; however, leaves a bit to be desired. I've been here multiple times and it always seems that things have subtly shifted a little bit. Finding prices can be something of a task as well. I have to clarify my rating of selection a bit. They actually have a great selection but they are ALWAYS out of something fairly common. I mean I don't own a business but if I had my own homebrew shop there are certain things I would make sure I never run out of, and they do, frequently. So the selection is good but I had to knock off a few points for a lack of inventory. I hate their grain mill too. On the plus side the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. When I've had questions they have been able to answer them quickly and convincingly. Overall a solid homebrew shop for Boulder; however, if you feel like traveling a bit there are better options.

I really enjoy this store when I've been in Boulder brewing with a buddy.
Their inventory has tons of grains and hops. They seem to move a lot of product so most things that I have purchased have been very fresh.
Unlike the homebrew stores in my city, I appreciate how you can measure out the exact grain total you want and crush it yourself.
Very good staff. They easily told us what grain to substitute when they did not have one we needed without looking it up.
The prices seem fairly reasonable being about what I have paid to shop online.
A definite trip for any Boulder area homebrewer.

It seems like a good store. First thing you see is their little hops character that looks like a south park character. Not much for LME. Good selection of grains, hops, spices, yeast, ect. Most of the people have been a big help. One guy was... not him self... and was hard to talk to. To many magic brownies I guess... but other then that, staff was great. Any questions were quickly answered, and ingredients quickly found. I like this shop, and will be the place I go for my ingredients and supplys!

Great store.
Outstanding selection of Hops and Grains. They carry bulk Briess LME. The also have pre-built Kits. Lots of gear and equipment.
Staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
Lines at the Grain Mill can be a bit much at peak hours.
I have broken down and bought my own crusher to not have to deal with waiting on The one mill
Expanded hours would be nice. Wish they were open one extra hour and on Mondays.
Overall a great little store. I recommend it to fellow Boulderites. Of course, it is also the only local option!

Located in a strip mall on the south side of Valmont, not far from a long-time homebrew shop that recently closed. This small shop is packed to the brim with homebrewing equipment and ingredients. Extract in bulk and can, every type of grain I've ever asked for, most types of yeast, and a wide selection of hops (amazing, considering the current hop shortage). The staff is friendly and helpful, offering assistance without getting too nosy. The grain mill is, unfortunately, driven by a drill and takes a while. I run my grain through the mill twice in order to get the crush I prefer. A bit pricey, but this is Boulder.
